Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 MKV IS OUT NOW — Page 43

Thanks :-) I was going for something sort of retro OUT looking but fresh and new at the same time.

So I decided for a bluish starry background sort of similar to the European 1995 release and the faces on the fronts of the covers, like in the US 1995 release but I used these paintings which I believe to have never been used for covers before. I had to alter the stormtrooper one, because it also reflected a scene from ANH in the eyes, so I gave it some thought on what could be reflected in the eyes of a stormtrooper in ROTJ and I decided to go for vicious looking Ewoks brutally murdering stormtroopers :-)

Then I found these two nice pics of Luke from SW and ESB but couldn't find a ROTJ one that would fit with them, so I had to make one by putting the face from the SW picture over the face of a Sideshow statue of ROTJ Luke :-)

I used the same nice and plain font (Century Gothic IIRC) for everything on the cover.

I replaced the link in the cover post with a link to ful res covers with fixed spelling:

Could someone please run those through IMANDIX for me (or something similar - you know a program that puts them into BD boxes automatically). Ideally with the forum colour background.

Ripplin, have you made them too? Because the ones Nero made aren't exactly what I had in mind, I was hoping for someone with a full version of IMANDIX to make higher res ones (something like 1280 in width).

Those are great, man, thank you. Only is it possible to shift the covers slightly to the left, so that the spine is centred, I noticed the same thing with some other covers done like this with Imandix and I'm quite sure that the spine is centred on the actual covers. If it's too much of a hustle, don't bother thought :-)

Also, it's not designed for the thin boxes in case that's what you're using.

Look at it as two cases stacked against each other, and not one open box

Huh? I mean that the letters and logos aren't in the centre of the spine.

Works for me. Sometimes they go down for a bit, try again.

wish it worked for me. been trying for days. the first rar just gets stuck in a captcha loop in JD as well as the host site.

Just keep trying every day or so, elbarto1. (maybe just through the site directly and not through JDownloader - I haven't had the best of luck using JD with that site)

I got the first 3 parts of the AVCHD, and then couldn't get past the captcha for 3 days or so, but I finally got it. It's definitely worth the wait.

my jd is updated. no go on part one though. tons of posts on TP with the same problem. I really think part 1 is offline.  I know a v2 is in the works, but I'd love to get this version for my own twisted completist reasons. :)

I suggest you ask Hamry for the direct download link of the part 1 rar file and download it directly then with your browser.

Are these still available?  I keep getting "Stranka nenalezena!", whatever the hell that means.

I'm having the exact same problem. I think the link's dead. Have you talked to Harmy? I sent a PM.

They're 1024x768.

Technically, these are excellent, but are too much of a reflection of modern Star Wars thinking (emphasis Darth Vader, Boba Fett etc.). I always felt the heroes should be front and center.

They are still way better than any official covers since the classic '92 set.
