<p>Wow that's quite a difference. I'm a bit behind but does anyone still plan to upload it to Rapidshare? Would prefer that since I can't download torrents where I live.</p>

I just made the torrent FREELEECH on MySpleen so you guys don't kill your ratios. ;)

Much appreciated! I hate to ask, but...any chance of doing that, at least for a little while, with the forthcoming AVCHD and BD versions? That would also be much appreciated! ;)

I am the one uploading to Rapidshare. I am still at it. It is taking longer than I expected. I am a little less than halfway done. It will be uploading all night tonight. At any rate, when it's done I will post the links at tehparadox.

I have re-upped to TPB and 1337x.  I had to remove the following for the trackers to accept it:

vsfilter.dll folder
_README.html
prep_subs.pl
prep_subs-match.pl
prep_subs-rtl.pl

If anyone wants to try those trackers, please let me know via PM if there are any problems.

Are the myspleen and tehp the best places for this as of now?  I've been downloading since noon from myspleen and only have 2GB down.  Is there another option or no?

Scroll up.  It's at TPB and 1337x now.  :)

Thank you, Harmy, and happy birthday.

Thanks, also, to everyone else involved.

Now, does anyone know if I should download this from usenet, would I be able to return to myspleen and help seed? That is, will the two versions match?

For the usenet upload the rar files have simply been renamed from Deed2.0 to Fixed_Deed2.0. The par2 files however are different, so you'd need to redownload them at myspleen.

Besides, 28% (50 files) have been uploaded to usenet so far, with approximately 1.5 days to go. So I guess downloading it from my spleen would be faster anyway.

Jan - not sure if I understood or not, but the par2 files are not part of my torrent. I didn't try downloading them till earlier today, and when I did, most of the downloads seem to have failed mid-way.

Lol man. Your handle would be apt to apply to all the newcomers to this thread who apparently cannot be bothered even to read a post behind, let alone a page :) Can't begrudge it though. Once upon a time, I, too, was one of them

Glad that there's still multiple options for download! I wonder how the speeds are at tpb. 1337x I've never heard of but it seems to be a solid entry in the ginormous public tracker tradition

Sorry, I don't have an account at myspleen, so I didn't know that. What I meant though was that the par2 files on usenet differ from the ones Harmy created. The rar files are the same but renamed.

Got it all downloaded and it looks just wonderful!

Harmy, you have made a time machine back to our childhoods.

Also I agree about the explosion of the final TIE that Han kills.  It's nice to see it glowing red instead of that florescent green that seemed so wrong.

I was all ready to watch this tonight, and now I have a problem. I watch MKV by putting it on my portable hard drive and playing it through my Blu-ray player USB. I have a PC laptop, but I wanted to download this on my family's MAC, since I don't like leaving my laptop on all day. So it finishes downloading, and I put my portable hard drive in to transfer the file, and it can't be done, and shows the hard drive is read only.

Anyway to get by this? I guess I'll have to buy a BD-R, and burn it as data disc to transfer to my pc?

Also, if anyone is still in need of a myspleen invite, please feel free to PM me. I've got a few spare.

AND ANOTHER THING, IF SOMEONE COULD TELL ME WHY THE CODE APPEARS IN MY POSTS, I'D REALLY APPRECIATE IT...

Others have said many times that in your case you need to clear your Internet cache.   I recommend using 'Ccleaner'.  It's a great lil program, here's a link. :

Thanks, Stretch, hopefully that did it!

Thanks, also, Jan for your usenet advice. I will just get it from myspleen.

In other news, the anamorphic lens for my projector arrived today. Hmmmm... I wonder what movie I will use to test it out with?

Hey Harmy, you know what would be really fun? A shot-by-shot comparison of De-Ed Remastered and the Blu-ray. :)

Maybe not shot by shot, but I second this as a way to show my less knowledgeable friends the differences!

Yes, I meant with the shots already in the comparison - maybe the Bluray, then v. 1 then Remastered. I guess I'm not the only one that wants to show my friends the differences... :D

Ugh, I'm such a klutz. *headdesk*

I'm sure when the time comes walkingdork will consider setting freeleech, though that's a ways away still. I was actually wondering if he'd allow for the AVCHD version at all, being inferior and everything. The BD, as it'll have lossless audio and other features/is a friggin' BluRay I bet would be allowed.

Most probably, your Mac is running OSX 10.6 or older, which to my knowledge doesn't have NTFS write support; your external drive is most probably formatted with NTFS. What you need to do is get Tuxera NTFS ($30) or an old copy of the ntfs-3g package + macfuse package on which Tuxera is based. google/torrents are your friend.

EDIT: Actually, it looks like NTFS write support IS in the OSX 10.6, but not 10.5 and below. It's just not enabled by default. See here for instructions:

http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20090913140023382

That Apple didn't enable this feature by default should be a strong hint though, so caveat emptor. The comments aren't too reassuring either. So if your HDD doesn't have anything else on it, it's probably worth risking; otherwise I'd just try to hunt down ntfs-3g, which I've used without issue back in my hackintosh days and still use, currently, on my family's Macs
