The MKV and Blu-ray will have the same bitrate same render correct?

Most likely, yes.
Will the AVCHD fit on a dual layer DVD?

I think that's the whole point of an AVCHD as opposed to just burning a Blu-ray ;)
That's the plan.
Harmy, have you discussed what audio you WILL be including in the mkv? I went back 30-40 pages and saw that you were talking about a German mix, and that we can mux them in ourselves if we want to. Just curious :)
I think the mkv and avchd will have only english and the blu-ray several audios and subtitles, am i right? :)
He’s no good to me dead
Correct. Only the AVHCD will have one foreign dub (probably Czech), so that there's space for people to replace it with a foreign dub of their own.
<p>Not to come across as a complete ass-hat, but Harmy if the stakes were a date with 22 year old Carrie Fisher, when would you bet we'll see a seeded release? Thanks again!</p>

Oh, I was under the impression that the MKV would have all possible audio tracks and foreign dubs onboard as well... don't you think that a GB more or less wouldn't matter at that size?
Awesome news - I now have something to look forward to this week!
EDIT: When I posted this using Chrome, I got some html code added in that I couldn't remove. Any ideas?
First time poster, just wanted to chime in with thanks and appreciation for all your hard work. I joined OT, paradox & myspleen pretty much just for this. I'm excited as all hell for v2!
That reminds me, if anyone has a myspleen invite to send my way, I'd appreciate it. I'll share the hell outta this.
It’s really sad when the “creative minds” behind something we hold dear are also guilty of its destruction.

Now I owe you something for already having your fixed audio track :-)
This one should fit with the video track without any further corrections if I'm not mistaken?

Clear your browser cache.

Thanks, that seems to have fixed it.

No problem ;) And it looks more like we have to make the German track available for download now. But I think you don't have the final version of the track (Harmy does), as I still fixed a couple of things.
And yes, I've checked it with Harmy's final workprint and it fits perfectly.

I'd love to be able to say that as soon as I get h_h's audio but here's the reason I'll be re-encoding the whole thing from scratch.
I'm not happy :-/
It's not in my lossless source files, so it must have happened during the encoding.
Oh and I guess I actually will put all the soundtrack in the MKV, if I can put them all together before the release.
What the hell? I've never seen an encoding flaw which looks like this. Which decoder do you use?

Star Wars on acid!
Never knew the trench run was so colourful.
I'm going for a lie down.

Probably some 70's psychedelic music video encoder. :)
EDIT: Ah, you said DEcoder.
What happened is truly weird.
This has nothing to do with the decoder. It looked exactly like that when played on my BD player. I found a few other things I want to fix anyway (they are the sort of thing that I wouldn't have bothered with if this didn't happen like slight colour inconsistencies and such but this gives me an opportunity to fix them). It will unfortunately mean another delay of the release but I'm still hoping I could be releasing sometime this week.
The is somehow George's fault right? He must of sneaked in while it was encoding and messed it up trying to re ad the special edition stuff again.

Does this include the redshirt? ;-)
Harmy, I haven't been following what you're doing at the assembly/encoding stage, but since this sort of thing is my specialty, if you need any advice or help, hit me up. I've done a depressing amount of asset prep and authoring for commercial releases.
