Cool. I didn't expect you'd be doing all of them, but I figured I should point out as much stuff as I could for the sake of being thorough. Commenting on the colours is of course a dubious prospect without actually having seen the references myself—if what may seem to be errors are in fact part of the original appearance, then that's what it ought to be.
Looks like you're covering the most important stuff, anyway, so I'm looking forward to seeing how those turn out. I'll make a list for the second half as soon as I can.

Well it says "server overload" so it will probably work later but yeah, uloz.to is getting shittier an shittier. I think I'll look into setting up a torrent for the release of the final version. I can do that now that I'm at home for the holiday but I may need some help :-)

Also someone with the US-GOUT should rip the French soundtrack off of it, so that we have one more language down.
I have the iso images of the NTSC GOUT, while waiting for the (I assume) PAL GOUT which should arrive this week in my mail from Amazon. I ripped the French tracks but the problem is they are longer than the Despecialized editions. I can upload them somewhere if you want. People told me how to sync the PAL GOUT, assuming the French tracks are longer than Harmy's versions, but it's the contrary. The audio tracks are longer than the movie in VLC but not in any other Mac Software I own.

Please bear with me if I tend to get too excited about anything or say too much, I have issues.
At 23,976fps, DeEd should be slightly longer than the NTSC GOUT because of the thank you card at the end. This doesn't affect sync.
Well, I'm almost 25% done with encoding the m2ts BDMV stream from ANH with an extra French track. It's going pretty fast, I don't think it should take more than another hour and a half. I can't tell you if it will be successful because it's the first time I'm doing this. But if you want the French NTSC AC3 files, I have them. Just ask me.

You can easily check if an audio file syncs up by playing the MKV (or the demuxed M2TS file) with Media Player Classic. Just put the audio file in the same folder and name it exactly like the video file (but with a different file extension, of course). The audio file will then show up in the audio track selection when playing the movie in MPC.
Thanks, but I'm not using Windows.

Speaking of which, one thing that we're planning to do with Leo on the Italian version is to give to the voices their original pitch. The audio length should then match the NTSC version aside from giving us back the sound as it should be and not what we've been accustomed to with the PAL home video conversion.

As it has the same colour as the lightsabre element and it appears in Puggo Grande as well, I'm pretty sure it is some error made in the making of the lightsabre effect, so that's why I restored it.
Not every flash of light in PG (or PSB) is necessarily original. There is a strange flash that appears in one 16mm ESB print but not the other, for example - Adywan noticed it. (not sure about the particular one referenced above, though).

OK. I'm a complete noob at video editing. The result of the encoding is the first 41 minutes of film with fast-forwarding audio. So I guess I did something wrong. Well it was my first time. I'm uploading the AC3 files on rapidshare now.

I'm really digging the 3d "Star Wars Trilogy Despecialized Edition" graphics at the beginning of the last changes video. Is this going to be used in a menu somewhere?
@Fireproof: Maybe, I don't know yet :-)
@johnlocke: You don't need to re-encode the video. Use TS Muxer. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
@Puggo: This particular "flash" (it's more of a speck really) is present on the GOUT. I was just checking with PG to see if it wasn't just some GOUT blunder.
Great, I found one last bug in my German soundtrack. I'll upload a fixed version.
Thanks Harmy, but it was only to check if the French soundtrack was in sync with your version, but if you say that the NTSC GOUT and the despecialized editions are suynced by themselves, I think everything's fine. I really need to become more video/coding savvy.

If you upload the French track, I can quickly check it against 1.0
Thanks. I sent you a PM with the links to the AC3 tracks.

Thanks! I've checked both SW (with Harmy's 2.0 workprint) and TESB with his 1.0 Despecialization, and both French tracks are perfectly in sync. (I don't have the ROTJ Despecialization here right now)
At least, I watched the original trilogy in English for once, thanks to Harmy :)

It's a trivial issue but I'll gladly help out if you need it, especially if you're looking at the spleen, and will of course help seed for at least the first month.

Yes, 15GB video stream is the plan.
I have an Oppo BDP-93. Would this be something I could dump onto a flash drive and play that way? Would it be fast enough to handle it or will I need to use a hard drive?
I have the same player, the answer is yes.
Or you can burn the AVCHD to dual layer DVD.

I have been testing some ideas for the BD menu background and here's my first render:

The animation would be a bit different (probably more subtle) of course but you'll get the idea. What do you guys think?
What can you get a Wookiee for (Life Day) Christmas when he already owns a comb?
Very nice menu concept. Given the option I would definitely advocate a little more subtlety, maybe make the movement a bit slower, more consistent, maybe without reversing direction at the end, but that's just personal preference, it certainly looks quite impressive to me as is.
I'm also curious what program you used to make this?
“We have a responsibility to safeguard history.” -Gage Blackwood
Photoshop and After Effects - and yes, the movement would be way slower in the final version - I just wanted to show the concept now, without having to wait for ages for a longer video to render.
