Yes, they are available. They are on MySpleen and alt.binaries.starwars for download under the name "Project Threepio".
great :)
but can can you explain me , how to load ? i don't know myspleen or any binaries ...
MySpleen is a website: www.myspleen.org. If you need an invitation to log in, contact walkingdork. alt.binaries.starwars is a newsgroup, if you have newsgroup access.

I'm sure with that sense of entitlement you'll be sure to attract the needed help you seek.
Or at the very least there's Google. You could actually learn about the Usenet or make the effort to contact walkingdork instead of whining and bitching about it.
I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

you know , in forums i know how it works (there are several) i use to help people who don't . somebody asks where he can get something and i know it ? i show hin the direct way , i do not tell him to get a private investigator .
thank you very much for being so friendly to me .
Well, it's true that it kind of sucks having to go through these obscure ways to download something as small and simple as subtitles. I can tell you that if those were the only means to get the subs, I couldn't get them.

i agree . i'm creating/translating subtitles myself , and when i have finished it i do upload it to a simple database (like opensubs) , where everybody can get them without any trouble or signing up anywhere . why go a more difficult way ? i have no idea ...

oh , i'm perfectly sure about that :) .
Dr.Olds, try to understand that the members of this forum are working very hard to do restoration and preservation work on Star Wars. The purpose of this site isn't to crack and distribute films that are available. Rather than coming here expecting people to give you things and then complaining when it's not easy, try understanding that most of the folks here are working on restoration efforts, not distribution efforts. So be nice, and be patient.
I don't even have Harmy's disk yet, and I'm one of the oldest and most active members of the forum.

Well said, Puggo.

Don't take it so hard. We're not all like that, as I think you've gathered from the other *helpful* responses.
I'm like that!

i do understand that , 100% , but this members are not the only ones who work hard . i also spend more time translating and correcting or searching subtitles than watching movies , but when i have finished my work i'm happy to share it with everbody , i mean , this is one reason why i do all the work . i'm having the same passion for movies you guys have , believe me . but i do not know much about newsgroups and secret invite only forums , and my english is way from good , as you can see , so i'm not able to read+understand everything that could be necessary , i'm sorry for that .
thank you guys anyway for being patient with me :)
btw : a big big thank you for the maker of the subs , they match very very good :)
Just finished watching the 2.0 version of Episode IV, and was absolutely blown away. It was like finding something I thought I'd lost.
I didn't notice one minor thing, and I'm sure it has been posted before, but in the lightsaber duel between Vader and Kenobi the lightsaber effects go in and out, and they are completely gone in the scene where Vader walks towards the closing blast door. It looks like he is hold a fencing foil.
That's actually part of the despecialization. While we'd love to think so, the original cuts aren't always perfect. This is meant to recreate the originals, flaws and all.

Ahhhh...I wasn't sure. It's been years since I've seen anything other than the "enhanced" versions.
It looks prety much the same in the "enhanced" versions as well, except they added a little blue to the sabre's glow (and that only since the DVD) but the blade looks the same-
OK, here are the v2.1 changes for reel 1 (v2.0 top, v2.1 bottom). Note that the screenshots come from a compressed source and don't represent the final quality of the BD or even the AVCHD.
