I think when Lucas made the assertion for film preservation and their artifacts like the lfl archives, i don't think this is what he had in mind.
I think this is rather mean and not in a spirit of fun as the Jar Jar in carbonite was.
Still i'm sure there are fans who wish he could be frozen in carbonite. Then shown to other filmakers "see this is what happens to you when you go back and ruin your old good movies"

Whist Lucas is still ticking away, most of us (now it seems) will lap up his scence of humor. But, give the man a break though. Without his mind in the first place, none of us would be typing here.

Who made that GL in carbonite? That has been like the 4th time someone has made thread on GL shown carbonite on this message board. Is that a real thing or was it generated on a computer? I would love to see GL's face when he sees that. I think if GL dies and we finally get the DVDs the way we want, in every box set there should be a printing of GL in carbonite with Lucasfilm apologizing for GL's obstinence.
