Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released) — Page 593

That seemed to fix that problem! Thanks! I imported the MKV from the Negative One file and selected Blu-ray disc as the output and began mixing and it seems to be making a blu-ray disc of that MKV (Hopefully with no quality loss).

Now all I need is software that can burn the BDMV and Certificate folder to disc properly (Though a ripper would also be nice too)

ImgBurn should work under Wine.

I was using imgburn with wine on my Mac for a while and while it worked to make ISOs, it wasn’t able to find my disc drive. I tend to just make the disc image in tsmuxer or imgburn and burn it with the OSX disk utility. When I first got my external blu-ray burner it was failing every time so I would bring the ISOs over to an old Windows laptop and use the software that came with the drive, but I updated the software on my Mac semi-recently and since then disk utility handles blu-ray just fine.

Trying to avoid a windows solution if possible. the Mac TS Muxer, at least that cracked on that works with 10.6, doesn’t seem to be able to make an iso, but it can make a blu-ray disk from an mkv with (I’m assuming) no reencoding as it only took like 10 minutes to do it. I could be wrong on the reencoding

what I need is something that is able to properly burn the BDMV and certificate folders to a blu-ray disc on a Mac

Well the only difficult part with a mac is making an ISO out of it, then it’s just a matter of burning through disc utility.

I just recently had the unfortunate realization that the bluray drive I bought around december is actually only a bluray READER and can only burn DVDs. Whoops. So I’m now on the search for a comparable-priced mac compatible bluray BURNER. Always read the fine print guys.

Can’t speak to the “comparable price” bit because I’m not sure what you spent in the first place, but this guy here’s been treating me fine since September: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-External-Blu-ray-SE-506CB-RSBD/dp/B00JJGFRIQ/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1458761257&sr=1-3&keywords=external+blu+ray+writer

That’s the main one I’ve been considering. Nice to know there’s some endorsement 😉

I use that one as well. Has worked great so far.

Don’t thr bdmv and certifcate folders need to be burned under udf 2.50? Thr method described abov sounds like it is making a data disc, which probably works, but still isn’t “right.” The mac version of ts muxer I have doesn’t seem to make isos, just bdmv and certificate folders, so I still need to burn those

Author

I don’t know if it’s “right”, but I can tell you that it works.

So it seems that Toast 11.04 CAN actually burn exiting BDMV folders and certificate folders. You just have to drag and drop. Not sure what I was doing wrong initially, but it wasn’t working before.

Do Blu-ray discs need to have the titles be on all caps for them to work properly as on a DVD or doesn’t it matter?

For instance, if I drag and drop these folders, it titles them as follows: Star Wars Despecialized v2.5 BD25

Should I change it to something like: STAR_WARS_DESPECIALIZED_2_5?

Spaces and lowercase are fine. Need to make sure the correct UDF version is used. I think.

Author

I am assuming that since toast has a BDMV option that it would use the proper UDF format, though I don’t have anything concrete to base that on

Author
Time

True. Imgburn similarly detects BDMV.

I am on a mac so I’d have to use imgburn via wine or other emulators

Hello all,

I’m just now getting into making custom sets for these despecialized editions (and hopefully the respecialized of the 97 edition). I’m pretty late to the game on all this, but a simple question hopefully - do the bluray files already come with a custom menu when actually played?

Just to be fair, WINE isn’t an emulator, as the name itself implies: Wine Is Not an Emulator.

I have realized this, when the part where the imfamous “Stormtrooper Hits Ceiling” happens, there seems to be a thump heard, it is said that it was added later in SE, and the thump was not present during the original theatrical movie, and may be because of the GOUT audio, so why haven’t you taken it out yet?
