It's part both - the color "correction" done to the BD can only be undone to a certain degree and sometimes things like that get revealed when you change the flat colors of the BD.
Before I say anything else. I tip my hat to you kind Sir Harmy, and all those involved for not only restoring the original trilogy but restoring my childhood memories of watching these during their first weekend release with my mother who took me to see them. You have done an excellent job with these.
After watching ANH I'm now tempted to pull out my LD player and watch the Definitive Collection just for a fun comparison since the resolution in nowhere near as good as this.
I have been reading through the posts since early april when it appears the link to the burn direction became a dead link. However, there has been no comments made.
Is there an alternate source for burning directions?

Thanks... I hadn't thought of google. I try not to ask stupid questions... I read through threads before asking a question. Since the # response here is to read the first thread! Which I have... The link to the directions to burn is a dead link.
I have googled to try to find an alternate location for whatever document this link pointed to. maybe I'm being to granular in my search.

At the start of this shot you can sort of see a black circle where it looks like the planet like object was masked in, but they're inside the asteroid. Was this intentional? It's there just before the wipe to Luke flying over Dagobah. Timecode is 00:40:21.
Edit: And I checked the comparisons gallery before posting this, mainly cus I love seeing all the changes. :P

Hey all,
I've been digging the despecialized edition since I was able to get it running on my PC (Fantastic work, Harmy!) but, of course, I want to watch it on my big screen, so I was wondering if anyone knew how to burn it to blu ray. I've read a few guides on the matter, however, I'm still not sure how to convert the .mkv i downloaded into a BD Format with the certificate and everything that imgburn uses. If anyone could help me out with that, i'd be quite appreciative!
Have you tried running a media server on your PC and streaming it to your TV?

This program will create a BD ISO for you - no transcoding so the quality is kept and it only takes few minutes.
