Just downloaded and tested 2.5. Fantastic work, Harmy! A big thanks to you and everyone else involved. I'm pretty sure this will be everyone's to-go version for a long time. Watching 2.1 a couple of months ago already was an incredible experience, it's great to have the final version now.
I don't wanna sound greedy, but is there a possibility to make the lossless audio of the isolated score and 1985/1993 laserdisc mixes available somewhere, so those who are interested could mux them in (only if the sources aren't lossy anyways of course) ?
Thanks a ton again, I really appreciate all the time and effort you put into this!
I think hairy_hen said, that once he'd done uploading all the lossless files, he'll put them in his own thread and I'm sure he'll also announce it here :-)
@aascii: I've found that a Google search works pretty well. Simply use keywords distinctive to the post you're looking for and it should be okay. Keep in mind, though, that some combinations of keywords tend to work better than others in such things, so be prepared to try different combos before you find it.
Best of Scoundrel's Luck and may the Force be with you!

Also, I'm assuming there'll be an official DVD downscale at some point? I'm assuming we might be waiting on a new lossy 5.1 encode from h_h.
Yeah. And possibly also an AVCHD - I think they could be encoded overnight, so I guess I could do it, if I have the necessary audio tracks.
Chewtobacca, could you maybe send me the script for encoding an SD DVD9 video track?

That's good news. :)

Just put this into your google search:

“Evacuate ...in our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances.”
Is there a problem with some of the files from multiupload? My transfers were kicking butt yesterday and I completed most of the downloads but now they're stalling/losing connections to the same random files (11, 14, 36, 37 to name a few).
I tried pulling those files from the other servers but got mixed results (hard to read captchas, offline status, or too slow). I would prefer to stick with multiupload but it seems to be having trouble at the moment.
I also tried restarting the program and my computer but it did not help.
I'd recommend trying to get a MySpleen invite from someone in the proper thread. I'd give you one but I don't have any at the moment.

Well, I'm gonna need a re-recording of the sources doc commentary first, so if one of you guys could please do that, that would be great!
Actually, scratch that for now! Since I'll be introducing the official releases ('04, '06 and BD) in the first documentary, I'm gonna have to re-write the sources doc. narration a bit.
And I like Mavimao's voice and he was the first one to volunteer, so unless he'd rather leave it to someone else, I'm going to give the "job" to him :-)
Aw! You're making me blush! Yeah just let me know what to record and I'll get right on it!
What’s the internal temperature of a TaunTaun? Luke warm.
Just finished with all the parts of the fixed 2.5 mkv. I have a question about the audio tracks - is there something different about audio track 3? Because I'm playing the file in my mede8er media player and if I select any other track it plays just fine, but if I select track 3 there is no audio and the player freezes after just a few seconds and locks up and I have to pull the power plug to reset it. It really doesn't like track 3. Is there something wrong with it?
EDIT: I see track 3 is listed as:
TRACK 3) 1.0 DTS-HD-MA [English] (1977 35mm mono mix)
My player handles DTS-HD-MA fine and it plays tracks 1 and 2 which is also DTS_HD_MA so I can't figure out why it won't play this track.

Sounds good!
Also, thank you again for the MKV! Will be great to see the "final" product with 2 discs. I think the "bonus" stuff will be fantastic, especially for others who may not understand all the little things that were done "behind the scenes" that went into everything.

Well, I know my ArcSoft DTS Decoder threw an error and wouldn't decode it, but I figured it was the software's fault for not understanding DTS mono. Anyone tried track 3 in a hardware player that does DTS-HD?

Thanks for the reply. Hmm, I'm wondering if there's something wrong with track 3 then. I've never seen my mede8er player crash that bad before every time I try to play track 3, so there must be something about that track that can't be decoded.
I wonder if a fixed audio track can be uploaded if that's the case so we can just mux it in?
I'm hoping h_h uploads FLAC or WAV versions when he does his big file release, so people can do their own encodes, but there's no telling when exactly that might be.
Track 3 plays fine in VLC and MPC-HC, but my external media player crashes on it every time, so there may be something wrong with track 3 that software players like VLC can ignore but external players can't for some reason involving the decoding.
Well, I think VLC and MPC both just fallback to playing the lossy core, so maybe that's the difference.

Oh, I didn't know that. That might be why VLC and MPC seem to play the track then, if it's just defaulting to the core audio. My external media pleyer supports DTS-HD-MA so it would be trying to decode the full audio, not just the core. Can anybody else with an external media player with DTS-HD-MA support try playing track 3?

On that note, the proper thread has been given a proper update by the forum's mod, Moth3r. It's beautiful now.
HanDuet’s Guide (“HDG”) to Download Harmy’s Star Wars Despecialized Editions
Checksums & File Verifications for Harmy’s Despecialized Editions
Harmy’s Sources Documentary (11 min version) on YouTube
I can download the entire thing this night, demux the 3rd track and decode it to wav (decode the full track of course, not just the lossy core) to see if the decoder complains about anything.
Downloaded and seeding. Thanks for your hard work Harmy!!

Quick question, as the BD is now split in two with the just the feature on disc 1, does that mean that if we get the MKV, create BD compatible files and burn it, it'll be exactly the same as what you (Harmy) will be uploading? I guess there will be menus, probably with audio/subtitle options on it as well?
I'm trying to decide whether or not I'll just make my own BD or whether you have anything special planned for disc 1 of the BD?
Thanks again for all your hard work - it truly is amazing and I just love the sources feature, I watch it way too often! Remarkable!
I would rather have it all on one BD50 than on two BD25s
chyron just put a big Ric pic in your sig and be done with it.
