Hello

I'm from Europe/Hungary so excuse my grammar mistakes please, I'm not a native speaker.

First of all I want to say thank you to Harmy and everyone who worked on this remastered version. I really hated all those CGI versions. It was really nice to watch the original masterpiece in a better quality.

Though I couldn't download the fifth and sixth episode, so I have to beg for an invitation as well :/

The mentioned episodes are on piratebay, but someone removed all the dub tracks, except the English. I like the English version too but u guys could understand me, when I was a kid I saw the original trilogy on my native language.. So for me that's the one which brings my childhood memories back.

Also, I don't know if are there any Dragon Ball fans here (SW and DB have a lot in common, the author was a huge SW fan). It would be really cool to make a fan-restored version of that too since the publishers nowadays do the same unforgivable things to the DB as Lucas do to the SW...

Anyways, sorry for the long post, I just wanted to make you guys feel some sympathy for a foreigner SW fan :P Please send me an invitation here -> alestat[dot]flowolf[at]gmail[dot]com

Thx and keep up the quality work

So this makes three.  I know people don't listen to those of us who think we shouldn't be handing out invites to those who come here for the invite and are never heard from again...but this guy is spamming the forum with the same post in multiple places.  Don't encourage it!

Yeah, at least your spamming is different every time! :)

"This guy" sent this post to the wrong topic first and couldn't delete it. Than this guy realized that it belongs to both here and the request topic as well. (Since it's a request and an opinion too). Sorry if I hurt your feelings (again) Mr Frink.

ESB 2.0 is on Thepiratebay in full verison and plenty of seeders, just search for "empire harmy". ROTJ 1.0 only has Czech and German dubs, so you shouldn't even bother.

I can understand Myspleen begging to get certain projects not available on public trackers, but Harmy's work is right there. No need for invites.

Thx for the ESB. My bad, I was searching with "despecialized edition" keywords.
So there are no other languages available for the last episode? Why is that? It will be included in the 2.0 only?

Still I need the Despecialized ROTJ even if it has no Hungarian dub. Maybe I'm the retarded but I can't see that one on Piratebay only in 6-7 GB version. Is that the one? I mean the extra dub tracks can't be more than 10 GB or can they? I think that has been reencoded...

Because it's an old version with much worse picture quality. Harmy's working (or will be working soon, can't remember) on a new one, with Blu-ray as source and a lot of tracks.

For ROTJ you should just wait for v2.0 IMO, but if you want to watch it now, the 7GB version from TPB is fine, there was no 20GB MKV of ROTJ yet.

I've sent Alestat our Hungarian dubs for the whole trilogy. He should be all set.

Read the first post and then see if you still think it belongs here.

What, seriously?  Now I have an even better reason to be a dick to invite leachers.  Thanks!

Yeah, it's more or less easy to find on Pirate Bay.

A search for "harmy" on TPB comes up with both the AVCHD and MKV Empire v2.0 releases, while a search for "Star Wars despecialized" comes up with the MKV of Star Wars v2.5, and ~7GB MKVs of the v1.0's of all three.

The AVCHDs of all three v1.0's and Star Wars v2.5 are hard to track down on TPB, though a poorly-seeded v2.1 AVCHD is there.

Doesn't matter. I gave Alestat an invite.

I don't understand though why people bother searching TPB when the Spleen is superior.

Seriously, don't bother with TPB.

Because not everyone has a MySpleen account, and frankly I don't think it's a good idea to hand out an invite to everyone who asks.

One wonders what criteria to use when handing them out, then.

I will not deprive someone of having the best version of the original Star Wars Trilogy simply because they don't know where to post to ask for it.

You're missing the point, which is that the correct place to request an invite is not here.

Not to mention that you don't need to get it from myspleen, which is a point you've also missed.

TPB has the best version of original trilogy. Same files, same checksums, same everything. Plenty of seeders, fast download. If someone wants to get ONLY Harmy's preservations, it's stupid to give him Myspleen invite, because he'll download it and never log in again.

I'm downloading the whole Harmy's trilogy and I have a couple of questions:

1- Just wondering on why ROTJ is AVCHD while the other 2 movies are mkv? any reasons on why this? I don't know much of video formats so I'm just curious since this one is almost 8 GB and the other two have 10 gb more. I'm not compaining on the quality at all :)

2- What is the best way to burn this into a DVD/BD? I want to be able to play it on rgular DVD/BD players.

As for your first question, ROTJ is on version 1.0. Harmy is currently working on a 2.0, and this will be more comparable to his SW (v.2.5) and ESB (v.2.0) releases. This new version will be available on MKV, and I would recommend holding off on burning ROTJ until then.

 That makes sense :p

Has Harmy said when v2.0 is coming out? If it is arounf the corner I'll wait for V2.0 but if it's going to take a while I don't mind burning v1.0 and then v2.0 when it comes out. Thx for the response

Don't ask for projected release dates. The answer you get (March 14th, 2015 at 9:32:03 AM GMT) will be wrong, off by months or more.

If you want to watch it anytime soon, download 1.0 now. If you want better quality, you'll need to wait with the rest of us.

As for burning to a BD-R, just use tsmuxer to turn the MKV into a Blu-Ray folder, and imgburn to burn the folder to a BD-R.
