My name is Roman and I am from Ukraine.
I synchronized the Ukrainian translation of “Star Wars” for the “Despecialized trilogy”.
In Ukraine, we have three voice options:

1. Many voiceover. The TV channel “1+1” broadcast the SE 1997 version in 2002-2004.
2. Many voiceover. The “ICTV” TV channel broadcast the SE 2004 version in 2009.
3. Official dubbed voiceover (6 chanel audio) by studio “LeDoyen”. The TV channel “UFO.TV” broadcast in 2016-2018.

Please include the soundtracks I made in future updates of your videos.

Can you tell me if Ukrainian audiences have a preference for dubs vs voiceovers? Most audiences seem to prefer dubs, but I know opinions are strongly divided in Poland, for example.

As for me, I prefer voiceover sound. Maybe because I “grew up on it”. You can listen voiceover and hear the voices of original actors simultaneously.
The translation from studio “1+1” is probably the closest to the original. I’d say it’s like “good wine with the years”!
In general, it’s great when you have a choice and you can watch your favorite “Star Wars” with different voices)
