I know how you feel. I have a DVD right now that plays in every DVD player in my house, except the player attached to my Big Screen TV. Most annoying. It's fine until about 2/3's of the way through the movie and then it skips like crazy. But I still would not want to go back to tape.

THE DVD FORUM ALONG WITH OTHER ANALYSTS PREDICT THAT VHS WILL BE COMPLETELY OFF THE MARKET BY 2008. IN MY OPINION, THAT'S JUST NOT SOON ENOUGH.

Did they say how long it would be before DVDs are off the market? (replaced by Blu-Ray and/or HD-DVD)

NO, BECAUSE THERE IS NO SET DATE FOR HD-DVD OR BLU RAY TO HIT THE CONSUMER MARKET.
