Hey there gang!

I found this great fan created “thing” a while back and the idea floated around the back of my head for a bit and after telling a few friends about it (who happened to actually want to see it) I decided to go ahead and take it up. SO, about a week ago I started it up and well it’s finally done. I’m pleased with the final results but you never know if a V.2 will pop up BUT either way, this is the version that I uploaded. I also created both dual and single layer DVD’s of this sync/edit.

“Wizard People, Dear Readers” is an alternative and unauthorized re-envisioning of the book/film “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”; in which the film’s original soundtrack is replaced with a much darker comic narration created by Creased Comics author Brad Neely. Mr. Neely’s unique use of outrageous plot, insane characters and themes interlaced with his own brand of subversive humor
has been called a “new art form” by the New York Times. It is best described as the infusion of dissident subtext into a pop-culture phenomenon creating a suspension of art and reality.

This completely unauthorized DVD synchronization project was created without the knowledge or consent of either Mr. Neely or the original copyright holders and includes an all new musical soundtrack remixed along with the original internet downloaded “Wizard People” MP3 files.

Can you elaborate on the possible V.2 of the ABC version?

I sure don't want to go d/l a couple dual layer dvds on my slow connection, burn (not so cheap) DL-DVDs of it only to find a second edition come out.

Sorry but I'm only posting the SL versions to help get them up faster but yes the DL are also for trade

Just saw your comment over on myspleen about the "ORIGINAL SYNCHRONIZATION VERSION". I read through the comments but it's still not exactly clear to me what that means. What would be the difference with this new version? Should I wait to download that one or just grab what is already out on myspleen?

Looking forward to it. Big thanks for the really cool looking project.

- Well it's the "ORIGINAL SYNCHRONIZATION VERSION" (It's an OLDER original version of Wizard People) the version I used on the DVD I uploaded was the SECOND version (as in a second revision). I did get the ORIGINAL version from another fan. HAD I the original version when I made the DVD I would have included both versions on it but sadly I did not get it until after the the DVD was uploaded.... SO now that I do have the original version I will make a DVD for it. You don;t need the original version as the creator made an improved second version (the audio used for the DVD that's up) but for those of you that would like to hear the first draft/original version then the second DVD version will be a great bonus

I dont get how the 2 Audio streams differ? They seem to be the same. I dont hear a soundtrack if i select the first one...i only hear the narration.

Did i really? Because if i select them both all i hear is narration. Unless the soundtrack only plays at certain parts during the movie. But i skimmed through the movie selecting both audio options, and all im hearing is narration.

Go to the audio selection menu and select "Voice-over with CD soundtrack"

"Skimming" the DVD is not going to cut it....

There is NO complete score so it only plays with the soundtrack WHEN there is to be music, I did not make the soundtrack super loud so it plays as quite as it would in the film as not to overpower the voice-over.
