Although I created a two-in-one edition of Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween 2 in 2020, I decided to give this edition a makeover due to the 4K remakes of my edits.
These remakes have now been released separately, primarily because of the noticeable differences in quality and aspect ratio between the two films.
I recently released the first film, which features an exceptional 4K upgrade and has been completely re-edited with different music choices.
Today, I am releasing the sequel. Like the first part, it also includes the necessary rescores.
However, unlike the first film, I found the sequel somewhat disappointing, especially due to the ridiculous scenes featuring Sheri Moon Zombie’s ghostly appearance.
I have removed those scenes to keep the focus on Michael Myers returning after two years to search for his sister, with ominous intentions.
The 4K upgrade is successful, but in my opinion, it doesn’t quite match the quality of the first film.
The video noise, which is prominent in the original, remains evident in the darker scenes.
Additionally, the radio music in the background has been replaced, as it often irritated me.
In some violent scenes, the presence of a romantic ballad in the background made the moments even more disturbing.
I have changed the aspect ratio to 2.39:1, and the audio is now in AAC 7.1 format.
The running time is 78 minutes, approximately 10 minutes longer than the previous cut.
