is up with Mark Hammill’s makeup on the Holiday special?! He looks like a damned girl!! The first time I saw a pic, I thought it was Cary Elwes!!!

I did the same exact thing... I then I looked at the cast.... Mark Hammil was actually on it. I was like nooo way thats a guy, let alone Mark Hammil.

I downloaded the Holdiay Sp. yesterday...not 3 minutes into I stopped watching it and deleted the file off my computer...... I'd give it a rating of 0/10!!

It looks like I'm one of the few Holiday Special defenders out there. Sorry you didn't like it Obi, but though I have sat through the whole thing and intend to again on holidays, I can fully understand why people hate it. It is NOT a masterpiece of any sort, but rather like a terrible art forgery instead.

Prior to taping the Holiday Special, Mark Hamill was involved in a car accident that nearly took his life. Reconstructive surgery was required on his face. The makeup was covering his scars.

Yea, the difference in his face from ANH to ESB is very noticable. However, I'd say the surgeons did a really good job. Although, I think he's having problems now with scars and stuff, which is why he always has a beard, I think.

Apparently, Luke had time after landing his X-Wing to pull down the visor and open his makeup mirror for a little touch up before his grand arrival at Life Day or whatever the hell it's called.

Seriously, though. The auto accident aside, did they really have to use that much eye liner and mascara? Not even Carrie Fisher is wearing that much eye liner on the Holiday Special.

Not really Galahad. I defend it, I just happen to think it's really, really bad. And that's what I like about it.

And speaking of the Holiday Special, I just got a great book on vintage Star Wars figures and in the book it shows the paper insert from the mail in Boba Fett figure. On the flyer it states that the character was first introduced on the 1978 Wookie Hoiliday Special or something like that. The print is rather small and hard to make out. I did find it interesting that Kenner mentioned the show even though they got the name wrong.
