It has been decided between myself and Cannon Fodder that we are now going to work on our own projects respectivly. We were going to collaborate, but I felt that my project was alot different than what Cannon Fodder had in mind. My project is still underway, I am not sure about his. I will be creating a new thread once I have some concrete details, but as for now I can tell you that my release will include-

An isolated score track very kindly created by Klokwerk.
A new audio commentary
All of the Ghostbusters music videos (3)
Clips from the TV premiere in the states featuring alternate takes/censorship
All of the Critereon Laserdisc footage
Exerpts from the TV program Movie Magic,
and much more!

The film will be presented in a simillar fashion to Deleted Magic, but branched, so that you can view the film with the isolated score.

E.T.A? - End of July 2006

I will post more details once I have created the offiicial thread for this release.

Wow, that sounds amazing NeilB, I will deffinately be keeping my eyes open for this project.

I think you should be giving some tips to the people at Sony for when they eventually bring out a next gen version on HD-DVD or Blue Ray.

The problem with most of this stuff is the studios want to maximise profits with minimal cost, so they do not aquire rights for materials that they do not presently own.
Its a safe bet that some of these materials will never appear on any sony released format again due to this issue.

I know what you mean, I remember in recent interviews that either Reitman, Ramis or Ackroyd said that everyone wanted to make a 3rd Ghostbusters film (even Murray) but the studio could not see a big enough profit in it.

Special thanks go to Netsolo for the material he has provided, although I am going to keep some of it under my hat until the disc is unleashed at the end of July on a torrent site that has a Demon like quality!

I've run into some personal stuff that has prevented me from spending time working on the isolated score. I'm not saying I can't finish it. But... I can't finish it how I would've liked. I was going to do 3 slightly different tracks.

Track Option #1: Isolated Score & Songs Track
This would have featured a recreation of the exact presentation of the score and songs in the film - hideous cuts and tracked music - warts and all.

Track Option #2: Isolated Score & Unused Score
This would have been the same as above, bar the songs. In place of the songs, the unused pieces of score that were supposed to be there would be put back.

Track Option #3: Isolated Score As Intended
This would ignore the edits made to the score and tracked music. It would present the score as it was supposed to be heard.

I should be able to finish the 3rd option. This one is by far the easiest to create and, I believe, would be the most interesting to listen to. I can understand people might want the 1st and/or 2nd options... but I just don't have the time to sit down and do those properly. If someone wants to try their hand at either of those first options; knock yourselves out. What do you think I should do in regards to this problem? (I vote that I finish track option #3 and offer that up for the project)

I think you should stick with your current option of just having option 3 on the soundtrack.
Because new material is always appearing you or someone else can then bring out a version 2.0 of the DVD later.

I'm just biased as I want to view it ASAP, lol.

I would love to hera the option 2 score, but the most sensible option would be option 3.

Go with #3. I know I'd like to see 1 and 2, but I'll take what we can really get, as opposed to never seeing anything.

Perhaps, it's me that's causing this to be delayed? I haven't heard from any of the people involved for a little while - however perhaps the fact that I've yet to finish my isolated score track could have something to do with the 'creator/s' not posting? I'm actually working in Audition on the track as we speak. I'm sorry real life has slowed my work on this.

Oh, I'm fine - just very busy with university at the moment. I made the sad face because I want to see this project come to fruition as much as all the other Ghostbusters fans in this thread. I only hope that when I'm done that this "Isolated Score (As Intended) Track" will be something that everyone can enjoy.

Just take your time dude, just wanted to make sure the project was still alive.

I think just a little update every now or again would be nice, just to know everything is OK.
