I just noticed somebody in The Force Awakens credits played by an actor called Morgan Dameron, and then I saw their character was named Commodore Meta.

Now that is meta! Twelfth time watching this and I somehow never spotted this before.

Bring this back to palatable discussion, I tried listening to the TFA soundtrack with Star Wars video in the background. With a bit of editing, I think it could theoretically work as a substitute soundtrack.

Unfortunately I have neither the tools, nor enough sound material (only possessing the initial CD release of TFA’s soundtrack) to expand it into a full movie to see if I’m right.

I find it kind of ridiculous that Jabba would launch the pod races and watch them live. Maybe if it were some kind of galactic championship, but not some random boring race. Also, why sit in the stands and watch it live? I don’t recall there being any big-screens stationed in view of the audience. I guess you just sit there and watch them come around three times.

Then again, in this canon he’ll leave his palace just to chat with a rogue smuggler. 😉

Perhaps he’d popped into town for a doctor’s appointment? He didn’t look quite himself that day.

He probably would need a doctor after Han stepped on his tail. 😉

So, he went to see Han because he knew he would have his tail stepped on and then need to see a doctor. He visited Han just because he knew he was going to because he knew he would see a doctor. He’s a puppet that can see the strings. Jabba the Hutt = Dr. Manhatten = Snoke confirmed??

I found it obnoxious that Jar Jar Binks was still seen bumbling around the senate in Episode III. He had no lines, but he was still walking around participating in political events. Why?

He seemed more mature in AOTC, and voting Palpatine emergency powers notwithstanding, he was probably competent enough to remain a representative for his people and Naboo in general. I do wonder where he was during Palpy’s big Say hello to your new Empire! speech though.
