I know that doesn't interest too many people here, but I wish they would redub the german versions of all 6 Episodes, since the german dubs are very inconsistent.

Really? Apart from the Millenium Falcon being called "Rasender Falke" in Star Wars and "Millenium Falke" in Empire and Jedi (which is only a minor change), I never noticed any inconsitencies.

Also, the German version of Raiders of the Lost Ark was lately redubbed for the blu-ray and from what I heard, people aren't very happy with that. So I doubt that redubbing the whole Star Wars saga would turn out well.

Hopefully now that John Boyega is the male lead of Ep7, Star Wars casting agents will at last get bold enough to let more than one person of color be visible on-screen per movie.

Personally, I'm still holding out for Asian actors to show up in the live-action GFFA. After all, GL did want to get Toshiro Mifune as Ben Kenobi..

There were at least two Asian pilots at the battle of Endor.

The Emperor is called "Kaiser" in Star Wars and "Imperator" in Empire, Jedi and Sith. Ranks like "General", "Admiral" and "Lieutenant" are pronounced german in the Original, and english in the Prequel Trilogy.
But it isn't the names of characters and things I'm talking about, but the voice actors.

Yoda, Vader and Palpatine have each 3 different voice actors throughout the 6 movies. Palps even 4 if you count the original scene from Empire. 3P0 has 2, and the one who dubbed him in the prequels sounds like Roger Rabbitt.

Yes, but the old dubbing is still in existence. The DVD has only the old one and the Blu-ray has both (IIRC).

Well, with all the story related inconsitencies between the PT and the OT, I have given up the idea of a unified Star Wars saga, so having even more inconsitencies doesn't bother me that much.

Oscar winner Lupita Nyongo is in TFA as is newcomer Maisie Richardson, both black. Don't know how big their roles are though (AND DON'T WANT TO). It's also worth noting that Oscar Isaac is hispanic.

The lack of asian representation is strange, especially considering the heavy Japanese influence on the saga. Maybe in another new movie. Wasn't there a rumor about a martial arts actor getting cast for Rogue One?

Ah, then Finn won't be the only black guy in the galaxy this time. ;P

I think this type of stuff should be put in the TFA Spoiler Thread.

That's what it's for.

This thread is for "random"--not "leaked just now..."

Go ahead and spoil the ending of TFA, why don't you? ;)

R2D2 beats up a bunch of stormtrooopers all by himself? Nah, that'd be silly. I doubt JJ would go for it.

I'm confused. Is Artoo a cyborg, now, or a muscle man with a trash can worn over his head?

Don't get duped by the clever editing.  That blast on C-3PO is an exit wound.  He's been shot in the chest before, so he'll live, as R2 is assessing in the second frame.  R2 is pulling out his muscle man accessories because his normal ones aren't sufficient to finish the job.  His little saw blade can't cut through metal, his zapper doesn't have the voltage, and his grabber arm can't beat the life out of a damaged robot.  And that stormtrooper?  Clearly just an action figure superimposed over the original images.

Though it's not from a lack of trying. The Marvel team has been begging for permission to resurrect Jaxxon.

OMG! That made my day, and Jaxxon's too. :)

Got a link to who made that comic?

Would you look at that... two asian actors in Rogue One.
