"Ev-ery-thing!" -CPY

The brows, the shape of the face, his nose... it's all wrong. CGY at least looks like a more plump OTPY.

I'm trying to imagine Empire with the Menace puppet...

God, I hate CG Yoda -- even more than CPY. There's always this perpetual frown on his plastic face, like he needs an enema or something; that isn't the Yoda from the OT -- no way, no how.

Yes you're right, hadn't noticed how much more crumpled his brow is. I don't mind CGI Yoda but he does frown a lot more in the PT.

VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

Is "TIL no" a misspelling or some sort of slang/acronym I'm not aware of? I certainly can't figure out the context from the title alone.

The total lack of physical clone troopers was obvious in close-ups, but the mo-cap of their movements in combat was exquisite (in ROTS, at least). I'll give them that much...

...but the CGI in close-ups gets so distracting. Kind of like CGI Threepio in AOTC. (Though the '64 box of crayons' comment was apt.)

Even some of the close ups weren't that bad to be honest.

CGI is good at doing shiny plastic. Throwing in a few real suits during close up scenes would have tricked the eye into believing the illusion more.

The bottom line is the script sucked. If that worked few people would have cared if some of the FX looked a bit weird.

Exactly. CGI is pretty much the last thing that is potential wrong with PT.

^ This, 110%.

In wide shots, the CGI shiny plastic looks fine, but the shot of the Troopers' feet when they're about to shoot Ki-Adi-Mundi always stood out to me as extremely obvious CGI. They're boots. Why are they so clean? And why would you need to CG boots, anyway? (That was the point where I understood that ALL of the clone troopers were CGI, and had always been CGI. And no one was surprised that day.)

Hammerhead. But I'm a old Kenner Star Wars guy. This scene in E.T. still makes me smile...

I also don't need elaborate stories for every cantina patron either. Some of them must lead boring mundane lives. ;)

Where were you in '77?

Hammerhead or Ithorian?

Ithorian, personally. It's incredibly easy for me to empathize with peace-loving environmentalists.

I am a peace-loving environmentalist, so this is true of me as well.
