I think vbangle can see what you have done there, just guessing.

That cover you re did is still VERY blurry compared to the ones done right, you really need to work on that big time, yours will not print up nice at all.

Not to mention the squished added elements but if you are happy with it...

Yes you are right, if he is happy with it good for him, but you know well that a cover of that quality would not fly around here, the covers that get worked up for my releases and all others here, are way higher rez than that, and print up nice and crisp.

SAME problems, how can you not see that? compare yours to the ones that were posted for you from someone else, BIG difference, those are NOT blurry at all, you are doing something wrong somewhere, everything you keep posting has the exact same issues, you have not even come close to correcting any of them yet.

See that red thing in the middle of the title panel?

That's meant to be a circle,           Circle

you have turned it into an ellipse, Ellipse.

In of itself this isn't a problem but the distortion is carried over to all the elements in that section of the composition.

Like your earlier attempts you have squished our heroes.

The central photo is not to the same resolution standard as the rest of the image components on the cover.

There is a visible grain where you have added the image over the original clean background.

Just a few pointers but as I said before if you are happy that's fine and dandy.

We are trying to help you, clearly you no longer want or need our help but cool down a tad there.

It's possible that the poster art you have is already distorted in which case to make it look right you have to distort it in the opposite direction (make the ellipse back into a circle).

Just a thought.

Maybe everyone is trying to teach you something so that you can do it better.  If you don't want to learn something new, that's your problem, not ours.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

If it means anything to you, most of my early covers were horrible. The people on here were very helpful, and now I have confidence when I release a cover.

We aren't being mean, we are just giving you tips.

I think your concepts are good, your execution just needs a little work.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

When opened in a separate window you can see that's already an improvement.

Sometimes you can be too on top of what you are doing to see problems.

If you have backed up the elements and each attempt you can play around with the composition without the tendency to be too precious with what you have already done.

When I used to teach I would get students to make photocopies of their drawings and cut them up, change the colour enlarge or reduce sections etc just to get them less worried about losing hours of hard work or elements that they were very proud of.

That's a lot easier for you to do because you are working with a computer.

In that vein I would also get them to turn the piece upside down or on it's side so they would ignore the pictorial nature of what they were doing for a while.

If you try and see the elements as abstract shapes rather than photographs of people or blocks of text you can get a better feeling of balance.

Remember the empty spaces are just as important as the objects sitting inside it.
