Now as far as Grevious, I love the idea actually. After all, Dooku can't be running around fighting everybody as the General. Not to mention, with thousands of Jedi running around still, I don't think it is realistic to think that just Dooku as a villian can get rid of him. It makes sense that Sidious would be using many people as his personal pawns in his climb to the ultimate power in the universe.

i think general grievous is a terrific idea, i just cant wait to see what happens to him and who he is.

Same here, not to mention the spoilers for Episode 3 makes him look even more promising.

While I tend to remain Spoiler Free I do like the idea that spoilers make him even more promising. I am about 99.9% convinced Episode 3 will rock. About 50% conviced it will be the best movie ever. Its looking good better and better the more I hear about it.

I try to too, but it's hard.

Trailers though, oh man I can't wait to see the new trailer.

By the time AOTC came out, I read the script, listened to the soundtrack ( Man when I heard the Imperial march I nearly wet myself), I basically found out way too much.

I still have year to go on this one, and I've alredy read too much!
But at this point, many things change, and my memory is shit, so I'm not feeling too bad about it!

I don't mind seeing the trailers; it's all the other fanboy shite that comes out before the movie.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

that too. i must admit that i cant escape seeing the odd pic or whatnot, but trailer/teasers i avoid them...

Thing is, I've always spoilt it for myself, ever since Empire came out.

All the time I used to read the books before I saw the film, apart from TPM.
But with Jedi, man, I read the Storybook before I saw the film, and it didn't spoil a thing for me. I was a kid though.
I still say, the day I saw Jedi in the cinema for the first time, is still one of the happiest memories I have with Star Wars.

Well, I think it is Lucasfilm's fault in some ways because they always encourage it. I mean come on, to act all high and mighty about spoilers and then release the novelization of the whole movie before it even comes out, give me a break.
Author
Time
yes, but at least its controlled... besides noone is forcing you to watch the trailers.

Now I've got a question. Would those people who consider themselves to be the sort of person who wants nothing to do with spoilers/write ups/trailers/etc consider The Clone Wars Animated Series to fall in one of those categories and avoid watching that altogether as well? Or is that something that is watched as a part of the whole? What I mean is, if you're avoiding spoilers altogether, is the CW-AS considered a spoiler or something that you can watch even though it's not an official theatrical release?

Good question Bossk. If Grevious had not been in Clone Wars, then I would have said its probably not a spoiler. But with Grevious, not to mention it does technically come after the last thing you wanted to see before 3, AOTC, I would say it is a medium level spoiler. High level spoiler being something like they posted on theforce.net a few days ago and then was inexplicably taken down.

What was that then??

I must have missed it!

Also back in the good ol' days, when I used to buy the original figures. When a set came out before the film (JEDI) on the backs were many characters you never heard of before, aswel as Luke in his Jedi gear etc...Is that a spoiler???

I viewed Boba Fett as a big time spoiler considering his figure came out two years before ESB. But then I found out it was in conjunction with the Holiday Special which I never knew existed. And I'm sure many other people are completely unaware of the existence of the HS so, to them and me, the Fett figure release was a spoiler. To some degree, the other figure releases are spoilers, but at least they are released within a few months of the film release. Not at all the case with the Fett fig.

And what's this info that was pulled off the site. Do tell...

i wouldnt say its a spoiler, because it doesnt tell anything of the story of ep3 per se. it only adds more to the connection between ep 2 and ep3...

But isn't revealing Grievous a spoiler? I'm sure they're still going to have a surprise reveal of him in Ep 3. You would have to for the millions of people who didn't see CW-AS. Can't assume they know who he is. So, in that regard, it does become a spoiler.
