G4 - A Network in Decline?

Why, oh why, would the "Video Game" network put all it's hopes on a franchise that nobody cares about anymore? The franchise in question is Star Trek. You've got to be kidding me. Almost all of my FireFox live bookmarks for G4 have been populated with the TNG broadcast schedule. Does ANYONE care anymore? The show was great while it was on, however it's run in syndication since it went off the air in 94. If you're trying to appeal to a fresh new audience, how about putting on something that hasn't been dead for 12 years??? Not to mention that only seasons 3 through 5 were actually worth a damn. I'm sure the modern 18 year old can't wait to get home and watch Up the Long Ladder or The Samaritan Snare...Huuhhhhhhhh.

G4 sucks... very very badly. All they try to do is act all hip and stuff. They brought in ST thinking it would would improve their ratings. But it won't. They shall die.

I only hope X-Play along with Morgan and Adam's careers can be salvaged and run with by a better network. The blame falls entirely on G4--the moment they bought out Tech-TV, the entirity of it went down hill, and as cool as The Next Generation is, it is also old news. What they really need to do is drop the stupid HIP GANSTA shows, not to mention Brainiac and BarbWireBiscuit, and quit having their celebrties act like idiots on TV.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, WOULD SOMEONE FIRE DIANE MIZOTA ALREADY!?

I only ever watch Call for Help. It's the only show of any use on the network now.

Now, I love ST:TNG, and I don't get G4, but Spike's the same way with their Star Trek perversion. As much as I love the show, it'd be nice if something else was on.

But @ least there's a reason for Spike's perversion with ST:TNG. They're owned by Viacom.

My interest for that network died the day G4 took over from TechTV. I used to watch that network a LOT but it instantly became MTV with 'dudes' pretending not to be geeks and looking pathetic in the attempt. I was glad to hear that 'Call for Help' was back after they kicked Leo to the curb but 99% of the shows are ridiculous and utter crap IMHO.

The one video game show worth a damn used to be X-Play but they apprently even 'dude-ified' that show. I also used to think Morgan Webb was at least witty until A) She started doing monthly cheesecake shot in Maxim or whatever and B) Someone pointed out to me that she looks like Skeletor. Scary stuff that.
