Forgot to add King Pin to my list. Now there's a funny ass movie.

That scene where Ishmael is using the urinal as a toilet reminds me of a kid who had the same babysitter as I did. He got in trouble at school for doing the exact same thing.

Big Lebowski is classic. Never seen Kingpin though.

Two words about Kingpin: Farrelly Bros. That should say it all.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Is that supposed to reassure me or frighten me off? I have mixed emotions about the Farrellys. I hated There's Something About Mary with a passion. Stupid friggin' movie.

I love that movie so much, I learned how to do my funny-indian accent listening to Peter Sellers.

And everytime I test a microfone: "Num Num! Birdie num num! Howdy partner! Hooooowdy partner!"

The Party is indeed a hilarious and gleefully politically incorrect movie. My favourite kind. You can imagine my displeasure when it was announced that DremWorks is developing a remake.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Get thee to thy local store and either rent or buy this classic. Peter Sellers plays an Indian actor (Hrundi V. Bakshi) with a reputation for causing disasters on set. He is erroneously invited to a studio exec's party and proceeds to cause similar mayhem. It plays much better than that description sounds, and you can see that Sellers is clearly one of Mike Myers' influences. Go, Bossk.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

I shall move it to the top of my Netflix queue straight away.

Check that. It's not at the top. Got Kill Bill v1 and Master and Commander ahead of it. But it is now ahead of the other 112 movies in my queue.

Good man. You won't regret it.

My other "homage" to Peter Sellers is when I get home and I know no one's there: "Cato...? Where are you, my little yellow friend...?" - of course I only say that to amuse myself, as on one else in the world would find such reference funny, and it proves how insane I am now.

"Num num!"

Are all of these lines going back and forth between you guys from The Party? Or is a second movie coming into play here and I missed the crossover?

Both The Party and Pink Panther. I made a reference to the pink panthers movies, in which inspector Clouseau hires Cato, a chinese martial artist, to atack him at any moment, so he would always remain alert. I can spend all day making references to Peter Seller's movies, and to Monty Python.

I'm glad they rereleased all the Panther movies in a box set a couple weeks ago.

Unfortunately, it's not all of the Pink Panther movies. MGM only holds the rights to 5 of the 6 Peter Sellers Pink Panther films. Return of the Pink Panther, released in 1975 (and one of my favourites, as I saw it in the theatre as a very young child) is distributed by Artisan, and the current DVD is very poor.

Han Solo: I'm a nice man.
