I have an extended copy/workprint of JGTH and was wondering if anyone would be interested in this on DVD? Possibly using the Director’s cut dvd and splice in the workprint footage. There’s a lot of stuff in the workprint that didn’t make the director’s or theatric cut. Any takers gets my VHS tape all I ask in return is a copy of the DVD.

My passion for F13th films is rivalled only by that for Star Wars, so count me in as someone who would LOVE to see this.

I would love a copy of this too, but all the screen caps of the workprints I have seen look horrible and might not mesh well into the regular movie footage. Unless the copy you have looks awsome

My copy is not the greatest and has a bad tracking problem at the begining which is why we would need to edit it with the director's cut to make it a much better looking and watchable copy. I have a few other Friday extended versions and some tv cuts of Hallowen 2 and lots of other stuff. Unfortunately I don't have the time or expertise to clean these up and make them look nearly as good as some of you guys do.

Well it would be interesting but even cleaned up the workprint footage is goona stick out, and bad. It would be cool to see a cleaned up version of the workprint on dvd though, I have read it has a different ending is that true?

That is what I was thinking. Why not just release the workprint on disc? With menus and such. It would be cool for those of us who have never seen it.

The copy I have is the "extended" version with the workprint and director's cut scenes added and also the alternate ending. It's not the actual workprint. The problem with this copy is the autopsy scene has a horrible tracking problem. (was like that on the guy's tape that I got it off of) That's why I suggest taking the DVD and splicing it with this copy. Yes there will definately be a difference in quality but that will just help clue you in on what's been added. Or we can split the deleted scenes out completely but I wouldn't want to do that because there's a lot of Vorheese backstory that was cut from the film. (WHY!!!!!)

Alright I got the tapes this weekend, was able to capture the one tape with all the TV stuff on it. Should have time to work on it this week.

dont get to HAWT!!!, this is off of a very old VHS tape so it is not to pretty, on the other hand if you ever watched a friday the 13 specials on USA or TNT or anything this will bring back some good memories. It will be a little bit before I get to the other tapes, need to finish my Night of the Living Dead transfer and also transfer BrainDead.

The first Friday the 13th was released overseas UNCUT on DVD and it also featured a cool documentary with inverviews with the cast and crew. I have this on DVD and you can usually find it on ebay. It's region 2 btw.

I have the region 3 version which is NTSC, and it was pretty hard to come by, although I have since seen it listed in a few online shops every once in a while.

I finished up the TV spots and Previews DVD today, well almost need to come up with some case and disc artwork. The first test disc had some wonky menus, fixed that and is ready to go. By the way since I was sealling up a package for JackLucas, I let the test disc slide in. So maybe he will have some input/feedback on it. Jabberdoo I will also get acopy off to you as soon as I get some artwork made up.

Next I plan on trasfering Part 4 uncut. Two things one I will do a straight transfer of the tape then I will do another transfer using DVD footage were I can. I think it will be a week before I get to this, at least the edited in DVD footage transfer. Now should it be two single layer discs or one DL, oh the questions.
