Long-time lurker, first time contributor. Most of Freddie Mercury’s solo videos have been officially remastered in HD from the original film footage. These HD versions were released in 2019 in the Never Boring box set, on YouTube, and iTunes.
However, there were some editing changes. I’ve tried to fix these in the video for I Was Born To Love You, to create a version in HD which is closer to the 1985 original.
Here is a beta version of my preservation on YouTube. Constructive feedback is welcomed. Also, can anyone think of a snappier title than “Authentic Edition”?

Here are some screenshots for comparison:
This shot runs backwards on the Blu-ray. I reversed to put it right.
This one cuts off early on all the HD versions. I transition seamlessly to an upscale partway through to restore the missing end.
Re-created a slight zoom-in which was missing on all HD versions.
This shot starts a lot later on the Blu-ray. Restored using the complete shot from the iTunes version.
I can’t properly re-create this overlay effect without access to the separate elements, but I’ve fudged it to look closer to the original.
A few shots of Freddie with dancers up on a podium were very magenta in all the remastered versions. I’ve done my best to bring these closer to the original, and to be consistent with other shots in the remaster.
This shot is rather more saturated in the remaster. I haven’t changed it, as it ends in a crossfade…
…but I have de-magenta’d this one to at least be consistent.
