This whole business with the state of SW is so damn sad, it's not funny. Who would have thought something that that affected so many people in such a positive way would end up like this.

I know it's just a movie when you get down to it, but there's no difference between a SW fan and a Green Bay Packers fan who paints his face green and stands in the cold all day Sunday. Sure, the Packers might win and they might lose, but they come back each year to try again.

SW has degraded into this sad piece of shit that no one really cares about anymore. I thought it would be like the Lord Of The Rings novels. It would be this revered piece of fiction that would captivate audiences for decades or centuries....

....well...at least half of it will.

Summed up my feelings E X A C T L Y!!! It's all ver, very sad...

That made my day. Though I might have said that Lucas's dick would go through the back of Go-Mer's throat.

Gomer certainly sucks off Lucas enough here....it's pretty shameless....

I certainly like my Star Wars with extra cheese.

Once again...please give examples.

There must be something wrong with me cuz I don't see the cheese factor in SW or ESB.....and I roll my eyes plenty at the TV when cheez whiz starts gushing....so I know cheese when I see it.

Personally...I'd like to see a Rancor consume Gomer with extra cheese. I'd pay for a special edition of that on DVD....

Here here Cable!

What cheese factor is there in the emporer? He is one of the greatest villains ever to grace the silver screen. Just looking at him you feel his menace. He never ever even has to move to be menacing and evil, and that is a rarity in villains.

Go-Mer probably thinks Yoda fighting Dooku has less cheese in it than the emporer. I pity him. His mom must have dropped him on the head lots of times as a baby.

damnit....if anyone has any of the Special Editions they just feel the urge to burn or break much like Cable, perhaps I could work out some deal where you give them to me for free or atleast postage and handling perhaps. I figure for those who would destroy, why not give if not to me, others who may enjoy the films? Just a thought, and again if someone wants to give me their Special Editions perhaps I can work something out as I have a friend who would like to complete his Star Wars collection....would save me 30 bucks a pop on DVDs or 60 on a set.

McDiarmid was excellent in all the films in my opinion. The guy is a classically trained theater actor, you don't get much better than him. Obviously he played "The Devil" himself in the Star Wars movies and The Devil LOVES himself. The Devil is confident, when the Devil isn't confident or feels he needs to tread lightly is when he becomes his most cunning, protecting himself, tempting those around him to turn on one another for his own personal gain. The Devil was at the height of arrogance and confidence in ROTJ, making his cackling and over the top performance all the more appropriate.

Star Wars and Empire ain't cheesy to me at all. Much of Jedi isn't either. There are some groaner moments for sure, ("a certain point of view", "someone who loves you!" many individual endor/ muppet shots. Stupid rushed schedule!), but a fresh look at the o.g. version was surprisingly great. Basically, the original trilogy is cheese-free gold.

I agree. The original Star Wars was very sophisticated and subtle considering the limits in which the movie was made. I like the emperor in Jedi because of his non-cheesy elements. I thought he portrayed evil and overconfidence well. I just thought it was over the top at points. The ESB emperor just seemed more on the slimy and disgusting side to me and I thought that was a heck of a lot more interesting. It was like I could actually see him commanding an empire with a kind of unholy charisma for his evil pursuits.

Sorry...I wouldn't have sent the SEs to you even if you paid me a shitload of money. Those films are garbage and deserve what I did to them. I will not be party to someone else enjoying them. You can if you want to....but leave me out of it.

There is some cheese in ROTJ....but that's why I told Gomer to leave that one out. We all know its got its serving of cheese, but the fact that it follows such awesomeness with SW and ESB, excuses its cheese factor.

But SW and ESB are totally cheese free, IMHO. Those two films are as perfect as you can get. The whiny Luke crap is nonsense....as is the whole apparent '70s look. Star Trek looks like it was made in the '60s....doesn't stop anyone from enjoying it. Face it, prequel lovers....our trilogy kicks your trilogy's ass...

I just don't get Star Wars fans who revel in hatred. On the one hand many of you claim to know what makes Star Wars so great better than Lucas, yet a lot of you fail at the basic task of anger management. Hear you guys nothing yoda says?

I thought the droids in ANH were fairly cheesey, Luke's whineyness "Toshi/converters" was cheesey. In fact just about everything about Luke in ANH was cheesey to me.

"I'm Luke Skywalker, I'm here to rescue you".

Don't get me wrong, I love cheese, and agree that the Yoda Vs DooKu was pretty cheesey. Not as cheesey as it would have been with a puppet, but still pretty cheesey.

I just don't mind the cheese is all. It's part of what makes Star Wars so much fun for me.

Where are you getting anger from? If anything, we've been having some fun at your expense...I'm not getting anger or hatred out of any of this.

Here you guys nothing yoda says?

I repeat again...you are NOT 35 years old. No one over the age of 16 would use this line.....go away, troll....

There it is again, the torches and pitchforks you have in your hands. That's anger, hate, suffering.

I don't really care if you believe how old I am.

These movies from the beginning have been about putting forth good virtues. Promoting learning and knowledge over ignorance and destruction.

Yet some of you guys are about limiting the SW story to only the parts you "need". Discarding anything Lucas has added to the story since ROTJ, even going so far as to destroy DVD's with the 2004 SE's on them as an act of supressing it.

I feel like I'm watching a book burning in Salem while I'm tied to a dunking torture device.

Total drama queen bullshit.....that only alludes to your actual age, troll.

I trashed the disks to show which versions I prefer. I've said time and time again that I don't care what changes Lucas makes to the OT...

I won't encourage anyone to see those pieces of shit either, but I'm not on a crusade to destroy and suppress them.

I believe in freedom of speech and art, Gomer. Lucas has the right to do what he does and I have the right to comment on it any way I want.

I believe that you have the right to say everything you've said and I will continue to take your comments apart every chance I get....cuz it's my right to do so.

Live with it and stop being a whiny sissy.

I am living with it just fine. I think it's amazing to find such mean spirited Star Wars fans, but it's nothing new to me.

Live with it a little better, okay?

And don't go starting with that mean spirited crap....you came here with your Lucas worship where you know it's going against the general temperament. Don't whine when you get people coming down on you.....you know damn well that what you are saying is going to get the reaction you're getting....so just shut up and take it or go elsewhere where you can wank off Lucas all you want. I suggest TFN.

Like I said, I'm okay with it. It's just too bad some of you guys are so mean spirited is all.

Others here are much more reasonable about things. Tiptup for example. He is very passionate about how he feels, yet manages to control his anger to a point where he can be civil with someone he disagrees with.

Your anger is your problem, not mine.

Read anger into it all you want, dude....it's all in your imagination anyway.

Tipup does things his way and I do things mine. That's what's so nice about the human race...everyone is unique.

You are just here to cause some shit. If you weren't, you would have given up a long time ago....

You keep coming back....that's the sign of a troll.

Trolling includes taunting people...even through subtle means. You use subtle means, troll...

...go back to TFN.

So you taunt me outright, and you keep coming back.

Are we both trolls? Or is this just yet another double standard of yours?
