It would be Lord Kylo, as they’re all Ren. And he’s not a lord like Sith are.

In every instance in the films he is called “Kylo Ren” by various people incl Rey (and once called just Ren by Finn)… EXCEPT that one line I see now in TLJ that Hal mentioned where Rey calls him Kylo to Luke. So it really could go either way. The more formal sounding Kylo Ren, or the more familiar sounding Kylo. To me it sounds too familiar when the KoR calls him Kylo. But I’ll record it both ways. Or maybe all three ways (Ren). The KoR would probably just call him Ren now that I really think about it.

Neither of those really work for the specific lines we’re doing. In the first, they’re referring to Rey as “Kylo’s pet scavenger”. I guess “Lord Ren” sort of works here, but I personally like the idea of them being frustrated with him and his obsession with Rey, and not using an honorific title.
The other one is when they’re about to fight, so they definitely wouldn’t call him “Master” or “Lord”.
When the KoR say “the Ren” they are referring to a specific lightsaber. If they just say “Ren” they are referring to their leader. That is itself a title of respect: Ren. Hence the Knights of REN. So no lord or master would be necessary. The KoR stray away from the ways of the Jedi and the Sith and would avoid using their terms.

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.
I had an idea for the first Knights of Ren scene when Kylo Ren is getting his helmet reconstructed. I read somewhere that that scene was originally intended to be a ritual, so maybe having all of the Knights saying that line together… maybe with someone being a little louder than the others. I don’t know how feasible it would be, but almost making it like chanting.

Here is a link to all of my files. I was getting better towards the end of my recording session and I neglected to put a wind guard on my mic so some of them are unusable.
I would love any feedback on what worked and what didn’t, and I would be more than happy to record anything to get it right.

Thanks so much everyone! I’ve gotten submissions from 8 people now, and I’ve sorted through all of your takes to find the best from each person. Right now, I’ve essentially re-created my demo video using each of your voices. I’m hoping to get some more submissions in the next few days, and then I guess we’ll have to decide how to choose.
My current plan is this: Pick the best line delivery for each scene from each person and upload a video for everyone who submitted. This means I would not show multiple line options (e.g., if “Solo’s Wookiee” would be included, “The Mighty Chewbacca” would not), and then everyone could discuss (or maybe even vote on) whose voice works best for the four speaking knights.
EDIT: Or should I make a video for each Knight, so we can compare the performances back-to-back?
If we could get some female voices and some people with different accents, that would be especially helpful! If anyone here knows someone who could provide those kinds of voices, I’d love to hear them!

Ah, that’s true! Would you mind recording another quick little test? The effect works best if we start with regular speech and I lower the pitch myself, rather than speaking deeply. Could you record a line or two as if you were doing a Palpatine voice (just meaning the kind of croaky, not too deep timbre) and we could see if the accent stands out more that way once I’ve put it through the effects chain?
