Description of Experience:
In May 2014, troves of Star Wars fans found this photo accompanying the much-anticipated press release that announced the cast for the next installment of the Star Wars franchise, The Force Awakens. The photograph depicts the first table read of the Star Wars cast, bringing together the classic stars of the epic series with their new contemporaries. As a keepsake, the cast was given a copy of the photo and Adam Driver, who stars in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, asked each cast member to sign a copy, making this a first-of-its-kind collectible straight from one of the film’s top stars.
The photo is adorned by a plethora of autographs, including original cast members such as Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher, new cast members such as Adam Driver, and even the film’s renowned director J.J. Abrams. As a former Marine, Adam has designated Arts in the Armed Forces as his charity of choice, which aims to engage veterans in the power and social service of the performing arts.
The winner will also be treated to a private tour of the Lucasfilm and ILM campus in the Presidio of San Francisco.
