You probably heard about the school shooting in Finland. It is said the gunman announced his attack on the internet. On his site he uploaded a .zip file with small pictures, a small clip of himself, a doc with the attack info, a doc with his manifesto, and a doc about what he hates. Ofcourse everything on his site was quickly removed after the incident. This is the actual .zip file the gunman made and uploaded. Maybe you have already seen this but I thought it would be interesting if you haven't.

I don't give a shit what he wanted. Besides, his picture has been all over the news so that's nothing new and everybody is already talking about him. But the only thing you hear is why did he do something like this. Well, this file gives you some interesting insight into that.

Rob, as a police officer, I must tell you are wrong on this. It is our prerogative as members of the human race to study and analyze these freaks so that we may prevent this in the future. I don't think anyone here is trying to glorify this psycho here, simply bringing attention to the state of mind this freak was in. Many people on the internet have posted entire websites about the Columbine shootings detailing every moment of their rampage, there is nothing wrong with that to me. For me, by churning through the websites frequently, I learn a lot so that if I am ever faced with any of these situations a cop, I can somewhat anticipate some things that otherwise I would not have. Even if you aren't a cop, you may face this one day as well, especially if the anti-gun freaks get their way and take guns away from everybody but the criminals. This hurts nothing, knowledge is power.

I disagree in that I feel that this fuck and that similar Asian student here in the US have this exposure as the primary aim of their violence. I agree that studying everyfuck from Ted Bundy to the common car thief is helpful to both law enforcement and the general public. In my opinion, however, these youtube killers who leave elaborate multimedia packages, memoirs, plans, etc. behind are a unique case. They, like the columbine faggots, are driven by narcissism. This attention is the payoff for their actions. LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME say the cowardly little faggots, well I'm not buying it. There is nothing to figure out here, an evil narcissist will do anything to have his pitiful little life recognized, even if only in death. You can rationalize all you want, but the writings of all of these school killers ALWAYS reveal that they are simple narcissists who want there 15 minutes of fame. You have fallen into a mouse trap set by an evil retard.

Hmm, I fall somewhere inbetween on this topic. On one hand I agree with ferris, we need to find ways to prevent this in the future. But then again, the media over analyses the hell out of this crap, even when the reasons are obvious they are still there, saying crap like "So he played Doom right? He owned GTA didn't he? His parents were over bearing religious fanatic right? Just shut the hell up already. My goodness, right after Virginia Tech. the only thing they did was analyse and speculate. Do we really learn all that much from seeing the guys face on every news network for the following week? I mean, in Cho's case it was pretty simple, don't sell freakin fire arms to someone who is mentally unstable, or as most people in the media would say, don't sell firearms period. On the other hand I agree with Rob though, one thing these guys want is attention. Someone sees what attention Cho gets, and they decide they want a bit of that, so they do the same, then someone sees that it worked for all the other guys, so he does the same. If the media didn't flash the guys face every ten seconds, and no more attention is paid to them, then they might be less likely to carry through seeing the payment not being worth it. But then again, how can you really let something like this go? How could you really do justice to those who were victims by barely making a mention of such an event. And above all, how could you possibly expect the media not to jump all over something like this like flies on a fresh turd.

Oh, something of great importance, are firearms legal in Finland? Because if they are, the obvious anwer is ban them , if they are, then I guess this one will be forgotten as far as the news is concerned by tomorrow.

Yes they are legal. The responce of the government is quick. The legal age at which you can buy a firearm will be raised to 18 years (it now is 15).
