What is your fave film out of all the films in the OT?

I think the best one is probably the Empire Strikes Back.

Let me hear your your replies!

your faithful Padawan, Jeten San Hett.

Man, thats a tough one.

You have to be in a certain mood if you are going to watch a certain movie out of the OT rather than another one, the same holds exactly true for the Indiana Jones trilogy.

If I am in the mood for seeing how it all began or want the most fully realized story out of the bunch, I'll watch ANH or ROTLA

If I am in the mood for the darker, more serious film of them all, I'll watch ESB or TOD.

If I am in a happy-go-lucky mood and I want something fun and upbeat that day or just want to watch a true popcorn flick, I'll watch TLC or ROTJ.

As for the one I've seen more out of either trilogy, I'd have to say that I have seen ESB and TLC the most.

I'm with Sessler. ANH is my overall favorite as a whole film, but ESB is the film I "watch" the most (for the character interactions.) I tend to fast forward a bit through ROTJ, but I love the last third.

JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.

MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.

I'm the same way, MeBeJedi. If I'm watching ROTJ, I usually fast forward from Luke rejoining the rebels to when he meets Vader on Endor.

Anyway, my favorite is ANH.

Fast forwarding on the OT?! Blasphemy!!! LOL, I don't fastforward, and honestly, I like ESB a little more than ROTJ, but I love the ending to ROTJ. Yub Yub, biatches! Haha

IMO, if the Ewoks hadn't been so rediculously "cute" and kiddie, and some of the stupid crap in Jabba's palace, I would think ROTJ is probably the best. However, due to that, it falls just short of ANH, which falls just short of ESB.

Since Sessler brought up Indy, for that I say Raiders, followed by Last Crusade, then Temple of Doom (not to say I don't like TOD, it's just not as good as the other two.)

It is sort of blasphemous. Here I am at a website, desperately fighting for the release of a DVD that I will fast forward through if I ever got it.

When it comes to ROTJ, my main issue is the pacing (rather than the Ewoks). It just seems to hit a wall about halfway through, hence the fast forwarding.

For as long as I can remember, I've loved the battles, which is why ROTJ is my favorite.

Fighting on Jabba's Barge, space combat around Endor, the duel on the Death Star, the fight on the moon surface.

* sigh * I don't know... A tie between TESB and ROTJ, with ANH coming right behind them... But if you ponted a gun to my head and told me to chose only one, I'd say TESB.

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

My favorite is the original, the classic Star Wars. (I hate referring to it as ANH)

Empire is great, but the original Star Wars is better. (imho)

In my ADD afflicted Generation, ANH is way too slow. No action from the beginning--between the SD vs Tantive until the Falcon shoots out of Mos Eisly--to match the superbnessity of Empire.

Edit: Now I realize that this was pretty incohernet.

I don't give a crap. It's 1:13 AM and I'm out of here.

Hello? Empire Strikes Back. This isn't a matter of opinion. It simply is.

It's hard to pick "the One".
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Red heads ROCK. Blondes do not rock. Nuff said.

I think the invention of Home Video killed ANH, because the more you watch it the more you understand how the special effects work and the more flaws you see in them. It takes you out of the experience.

It is still a great story, but once the wow factor is gone, you realize that Empire is the best. No question.

Absolutely.

War does not make one great.

For me, it's all of the above in Empire.
