Who is your favorite villain in the Original Trilogy

"Others" could be Bossk, IG-88, Stormtroopers, Admiral Ozzel, Poonta Banta, the Wampa, the Space Slug etc

Yeah, I was wondering why you put Moff Jerjerrod, who does nothing compared to Admiral Piett.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I loved Tarkin in the first one. He seemed to be the only guy who Vader would obey (besides the Emperor). Plus, it's Peter Cushing .

Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here, this is the war room!

Mr. D.V. is going to win any poll like this one: he's black, he's mean, he's a killing machine!
I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...

Exactly! Who would choose anyone over Vader?

I would: Grand Moff Tarkin. He seems much more of a realistic villain. While I would never see Vader or Palpatine on the reral world, there has been some people as evil as Tarkin in real life. Of course, I'm considering ANH and the EU.

But of course, Vader and the Emperor are also favorites.
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

Yeah, I agree. I always liked the Vader/Tarkin relationship. With the Emperor/Vader, Emperor was clearly the man in the charge via political power and mystical power. The Vader/Tarkin relationship was really interesting in that Vader had more real power and also military power, but Tarkin had beauracracy on his side, and he was able to get Vader to listen to him and wasn't scared of him. He used the tools he had to his disposal, so while he wasn't as physically powerful as Vader, he could do what he pleased. Sort of like a, "When you're under my roof..." mentality.

I voted for Vader, but the vader from my pre-prequels memories.

War does not make one great.

Vader will always be an icon till the end of time. Or until we evolve to StarTrek level social sensibilites, but somehow I'm skeptical.

I envy the guy from Memento. He only remembers the O-OT, and even if he watches the prequels, he won't remember it.

Darth Vader what is wrong with you people? He is nothing special at all. Just an easy way out so that you dont have to put any thought into who is the best.
Guess I like IG-88 from books that i read when i was younger, not really from the movies.

I'd say Vader, though I didn't really care to know how he became what he was in Star Wars. He was cool as he was.

The Emperor.

Growing up with full knowledge of the characters (ie. Vader was Luke's father and ultimately returns to the light), I always saw the Emperor as the ultimate villain of the piece.

You can say that again, Dave.
