Political figures you'd like to see biopics of

Author
Time
I'd like to see a movie on the life and times of President Lyndon B. Johnson.

What other political figures of historical importance would you like to see biographical films of?
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Red heads ROCK. Blondes do not rock. Nuff said.

Well, he's political in the sense that he assassinated a political figure so he plays in. But I would like to see a biopic on John Wilkes Booth. See his backstory and whatnot. That could be interesting.

I'd also like to see something more on Hirohito. Or Archduke Franz Ferdinand to see really how much of a part his assassination played in the start of WWI.

Archduke Franz Ferdinand The Movie, now that would be a boring pic. I remember he got killed by Gabrillo Princip, there you go I ruined the ending...

I'd like to see a biopic showing JFK's childhood and teenage years, and a complete biopic about Hitler, from childhood to his suicide in a bunker. Apart from politicians, I'd like to see a Michael Jackson biopic (I'm pretty sure it WILL be done someday), Tyson, Senna, Kubrick, and a complete Beatles biopic. On a perfect world, there would be a Pink Floyd biopic too, from 1967 (when Syd Barret got insane) to 1983 (when Roger Waters got insane), but I don't think they would do a biopic about such band... maybe as a TV movie...

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. I think an HBO series would be the perfect medium for detailing the life of Pink Floyd.

As for political figures I'd like to see immortalised on the silver screen, how about J. Edgar Hoover?

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

If I wanna see a biopic about a famous guy who wears women clothes, I can watch "Ed Wood"...

Gee I should watch "Ed Wood" again, I only saw it once on theaters when it was originally released...

Yeah, that much I know. Okay, broaden it a bit to be a History Channel special on the Balkans during that era and why they were such a proverbial "Powder Keg".

He's born in Liverpool, starts the Beatles, ends the Beatles, gets shot in NYC. Film over.

Actually, that might be kinda interesting.

I guess we need to expand this thread to "historical biopics" instead of just "political figures". But I blame myself. Sorry.

You forgot about the Yoko years.

Actually there is a Lenon biopic.

Nah, I just kinda rolled it into "ends the Beatles" as my way of saying that I just really don't want to hear about her.

Speaking of Beatles pics, has anyone here seen "Backbeat"? Good flick mostly about the fifth Beatle, Stuart Sutcliffe.

If it's well written and well produced, it could win an oscar. A good question is: what actor/actress do you feel could act in a biopic as yourself? Me, I think they would cast Steve Buscemi, but he's too old now. Or maybe John Leguizamo with some make up to look younger.

You wanna see a biopic of my life? OK first you get "Radio Flyer" and get the child scenes only, then you get all the "Nerds" films and get the parts where the nerds are abused or ridiculed. Then, you get the first 20 minutes of Fight Club, the scenes with Edward Norton talking about his job and life, before Brad Pitt appears, but edit out the "help group" parts. Get the first 10 minutes of "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" too. Now, in the middle of all this mess, just toss some funny scenes from "Billy Madison" and "Groundhog Day", and insert some random south america footage. Put on some weird Wendy Carlos soundtrack into it, and there you go it's my biopic.

Then you'll want John Waters to direct it. How about it starring Edward Furlong?
