I would like to see a edit of The Warriors - Ultimate Director's Cut.
Take out the stupid animated sequences and have a nice clean version of the original theatrical version with 5.1 sound.

i have heard about a Extended TV version with lots of additional sequences.

A movie that would really need a touch up is Batman Begins. The fight scenes are way too fast. I dunno really if there is a way of solving it, maybe it'd be possible to slow them down somewhat, so that you can somehow follow the choreography. And the old guy at the end during the monorail scene needs to be cut out (he only has 4 scenes).

Batman Begins was so almost completely tight. It suffers from what it's missing more than what needs to be cut. Sometimes his whole ninjitsu safety net got kinda annoying for me, getting from point A to point B was just too easy. The Scarecrow didn't have nearly enough screen time--he's so tight in the basement of the asylum toward the end, but they didn't let his character permeate more throughout the film.

Fight scenes could easily be slowed down while only needing to maintain the audio pitch.

Yeah, and having Scarecrow defeated by Katie Holmes was pretty much the dumbest way of finishing him off they could have come up with.

How I would have loved a Tim Burton interpretation of Scarecrow.....

Just thought of another Film that really needs some surgery:

The Island

It started so promising and even when the plot twist is revealed, the idea itself is strong enough to carry on story, but then the movie quickly declines into a typial Michael Bay crapfest. The action is way over the top (helicopter scene), there are too many stupid one liners, hectic cuts, and "hero shots". What really kills the movie, is the making the assasin bad guy turn to good out of nowhere. we are introduced to his background during the last 20 minutes of the movie and suddenly he appears as a hero in the finale. It's just really bad storytelling. His part in the story should have ended with him receiving his payment after his "only you and god" statement.

The Island is one of those movies that really begs to be edited, because beneath all the nonsense, there is actually a good story in there.

I'd like to see an extended Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, as the released version has big "what the hell" holes in it. Scenes cut out are very obvious.

But I don't think they've been released anywhere.

No, they've not been It makes me very sad. Both films in the series had entirely different endings that were reshot before release, too.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

Well I know that in the first there was a scene where Bill and Ted are at Prom with the Princesses and Rufus. Not much of an 'alternate' ending, but they also gave their final report in the class.

In BJ there is lots of stuff cut as well as the whole face your fears thing. I've been looking for the workprint or whatever was circulating for a while now.

Wow, there's a workprint around? Please do post here if you ever come across it, I'd love to get a copy. I have plenty to trade, too.

Okay, I've got more I'd like to see:

Gojira -- rip the subtitles from the current DVD and then remake them with a new font, and fix the timing errors.

Tom and Jerry: The Movie -- Remove half (or all) of the songs and this thing might just be bearable.

My Little Pony -- Several episodes on the current DVDs (specifically, "Rescue at Midnight Castle," "Escape from Catrina," and "The Glass Princess") have missing scenes/musical numbers. Someone should re-integrate these into the episodes.

The Karate Kid trilogy -- Splice the recaps at the beginning of each to make it look like Part III takes place before Part II.

Robotech -- Make a "remastered" version that doesn't change the opening credits or commercial bumpers and doesn't have CGI logos and episode titles. Also use the original mono soundtrack.

And to reiterate the ones I mentioned earlier (since I can't find my old post or its follow-ups):

Castle of Cagliostro -- re-integrate the original animated opening credits into the "special edition" of the film.

Gundam movie trilogy -- Replace the 2.0 track on the current DVDs with the audio from the VHS releases.

if this is out, I soooo want this. Just looking at the pics on the bill and ted page makes me yern for this (I always did wonder why the reaper rap had all these lines in it that weren't in the movie).

Do you know any girls named "James"?

WELL?!

Oh, I get it, you're one of those guys who thinks "My Little Pony" is about a bunch of ditzy female horses combing their hair, aincha? This review from X-Entertainment will show you the light:

(Actually, to be completely honest, the episode reviewed there is the only one I care about... the other episodes I would want to be available uncut just for the sake of completeness).

Not so much a fan edit as a preservation project, I'd like to see the two Bikini Carwash Company movies on DVD. Sadly they were released and then went OOP several years ago.

Anyone interested in a new Dark Side of the Rainbow edit? There's this bootleg DVD-A floating around, i dunno if anyone already knows about it, but it's supposed to be stolen master tapes captured and mixed into Alan Parson's original quadrophonic mix or something, and it's on an Audio DVD, which means you got about 4 GBs of unspoiled even-closer-to-analog sound. At least that's what I think I downloaded...it's definitely a different mix. I haven't compared it to the SACD cause I don't have that, but it definitely sounds better than my RegularCD remaster.

Anyway, maybe you could go with a dual layer disc, with about 4 gigs dedicated to preserving the sound of the DVD-A and the other 4 gigs dedicated to a descent reencode of The Wizard of Oz. Would this be tight?

Another relatively simple one.

I wish someone would take the French (and only) DVD of KILLING ZOE Director's Cut and add English subtitles for the French-language sequences. Of course, the theatrical version could be utilized for the correct subtitles.

That is all.

Here's one for ya, how about doing something with Ghostbusters II. I'm pretty sure there is no way of getting hold of the original version of the film that was shown in theatres so I'm not even going to go anywhere near that.

But what bugged me abot the film is the fact that the Ghosbuster logo holds up two fingers indicateding a second film, however it has nothing to do with the films reality. It just makes no sense at all. Is there anyone out there that has the ability and the time to change as many of the logos with two fingers to that of the original logo from the first film? Is it even possible?
