That's a nice idea, maybe suggest that everyone order this week, then two/three days before... Mass Cancel.  Amazon must keep those stats.

Mielr, not sure how to guage when, but at some point the articles are going to start pointing out how there really aren't many changes for this blu-ray version, and that's a good time to start rolling out Doubleofive's SE comparisons.  To remind everyone it's not just this release but it's been building for almost 15 years.  The vast number of pics gives you one or two pics from each movie per day for at least a month.

Another thing people will mention or confront is the color changes for the 2004 and the crushed black/loss of detail issue.  The SaveStarWars youtube channel has a video which shows the differences:

^ That's a fair criticism, but being someone who takes part in the thread, i'm in no way the right person to make this call.  Just throwing out ideas.

And those aren’t the only alleged changes. (Using the word alleged here because I don’t have my copy of “Star Wars: The Original Trilogy” yet and cannot independently verify what the Digest blogger says he has confirmed.)

 

Of course, all of this fury overshadows the pre-existing fury about the fact that Lucas still refuses to issue the non-special-edition versions of the film on Blu-ray. But maybe Skywalker loyalists are so accustomed to their anger over that abomination that they’ve reached the acceptance stage and moved on.

(Just kidding. They totally haven’t.)

liked the FB page & shared with my friends, some of whom signed up also. one commented "why not just release the originals in a cleaned up transfer? they'd sell more copies!" - truer words ne'er spoken.

Does anyone know how to make a gif of Han's weird head dodge in the greedo scene? (from whichever version looks the worst) I think that would be a good visual aid that's easy to post.

They look pretty great!  Should be very easy to apply.  (Note: the sticky side is on the back of these, so this version would be stuck to the outside of a car window, or any normal surface you want to apply them to.)

The big one is 5" across.  the small one as you can see from the business card is about 2" and no significant detail loss.

Total cost: $12.30.  and it took a week.

So you can take the .ai from a page ago and get your own, or ask and I can make them bigger or smaller, depending on your needs.

So does no one at Skywalker Ranch know how to color correct or what? The whites on the Blu-Ray of Revenge of the Sith seem to be completely crushed. Mouse over the pic to show the Blu-Ray version, and note how blown out her clothing is at her neck. Just unbelievable.

 I remember hearing about this, but never any specifics.  What photos specifically were screwed up? ( i have the book too, likely a first printing, but haven't had a chance ot read it yet...still gotta read Making of Star Wars first....)
