I'm wondering what happens when I release my edit over there with a simple "now available on FE.info."

Wait, how did you get a copy? Are you in the inner-circle? Is there a brand on your forearm?
I don't have a brand on my forearm, but I do have a bad taste in my mouth since watching it. Taste like chicken broth and gummi worms... And no it's NOT a good combination.

I'm pretty sure he'll delete your pages like he did mine. I had a thread for redemption over there before I knew he was a nut job. He deleted mine for "having affiliations with another forum that has acted hostile towards his group."
I wasn't even talking bad about him at that point in time... I DO NOW THOUGH!

That's what I figured, although I did find this post from June 6, 2011:
In the future, any work branded or otherwise associated with "fanedit.org" can only be submitted by the author of that work. The author will need to register an account here, under the same name used at the fanedit.org website.
I also know they saw my edit thread here, and asked about the whole Ric Olie/TVF thing...so I'm now TV's Frink there too.
I think it would actually be nice if there was a thaw in relations, but it seems unlikely.

And you must carry a mark on you forehead, and proclaim "UNCLEAN, UNCLEAN!" when you are logged on.
lol

"Hostile towards his group?"
I thought we were a bunch of film enthusiasts. Apparently we're middle school hooligans fighting for territory.

[Draws a line the sand] I dare you cross it.
You know, it just occurred to me that my trailer references ot.com along with fe.org. No mention of that yet...
I glanced over the thread, I'm not seeing where this breakdown occurred. He announced an edit, showed some work, then left with it.

You don't see a breakdown starting here?
Not to mention the lemmings video.
So I read the first two pages, and the page leading up to the infamous post #88 and I for the life of me cannot see why it devolved. Everything seems fairly standard discourse on a fanedit thread, ideas being discussed, points raised, then either accepted or denied for reasons which Anti-matter typically provided reasonable explanations.. then out of the blue the blue he announces he's taking this toys and going home. Once that happened all hell broke loose but before then it just makes no sense at all. Granted I wasn't here at the time but it truly seems like it came out of the blue.
I wasn't here either, but the real problem seems to have been his deletion of the OP (never a good idea) and his reaction to people's questions. Especially the idea that people who hadn't posted prior to post 88 had no right to ask questions afterwards.
And lol at "are you looking for trouble - PM me."

Note to all : Don't stir up controversy where none exists--particularly in a thread to which you've previously contributed NOTHING. The false pretense is transparent.
I can't shake the feeling if you type something like this, you're sitting in a home-made cape in the dark, tenting your fingers, perhaps cackling.
But again, the why of it just eludes me. I just don't understand why he flipped out. So much anymosity over something so idiotic..

I agree.
It's like you meet a dude at the coffee shop. Seems cool, then after a minute he says, "Well, I'm out."
And you go, "Oh, where you heading?"
And he goes, "Screw you lemming. You contributed nothing to my latte! I refuse to take this abuse!"
Eh, he wanted to get more attention by being the forerunner of his own forum and leaving us. It's a shame, since this led to his edit getting less attention than if he just finished it here. The edit does have some admittedly interesting ideas, editing wise; the problem is that his ego is as big as the Hindenburg (and probably will suffer the same fate: blow up). He messed up the narrative in a misguided attempt to make something more complex and original, though it may have been easily remedied by constructive criticism from this website or fanedit.org.
As said before the Jar-Jar removal was interesting technically, as well as Anakin's removal in the latter part of the TPM section. His unwillingness to cut more in the AOTC section is what really drags the film down; it's still filled with awful romance, which other edits have fixed... (yes L8wrtr, I'm looking at you). Furthermore, ROTS is completely convoluted now. He starts with it in the beginning, returns to it in the middle, but never gives the whole thing a proper nod at the flashback at the end... just a random montage.

Oh. But few people can remember the names or cite sources to verify publication and access dates? Is that what you meant to say?

D'oh! You pwned them Frink. You might expect a ban and a comment deletion soon though. If they say it was altered, you could show them the versions from archive.org (which I assume exist).
The project threads are timestamped on the forum but it was quicker to just give them the edit pages.
Also, I've edited the thread title to make it slightly less inflammatory. ;-)
Did you edit all the links on your post to forward you to the Lemmings video? Because they do.

That's the Digital Fanedits sense of "humor." You have to copy/paste the address, if you try to do a direct click of the link it redirects to the lemmings video.
If you try a direct link from FE.org to there, you get a message something like "direct links not allowed from FEnazi.org."

But who's to say that those haven't been digitally manipulated so as to appear as if they are older, when the were in fact just released last week?!?
Busted. :-(
Wait...
