J.J. cracks me up. And Mark is looking good! Who's the fellow next to him dressed like George? ;)

The title of this thread looks too much like "WARNING: HEROIN". Kinda unnerving LOL

It's this guy, creator of that ^, whoever he is and whatever that is.

VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

Even JJ seems to be dressed like George in the old days (as well as Josh Trank in the SW.com picture). It seems like they are trying to reproduce the OT approach in full. :D

Is it bad that I actually watch that show?

I don't think so. I love that show! I wonder if Mark is gonna voice a character next season.

This photo piqued my interest. A new type of Astromech droid? They look like an older model than Artoo though.

Well, it would make sense to have older models on Tatooine. If the EU is to be taken seriously (which it isn't, of course), R2 is an older model and we see models on Tatooine older than him.

Beru's collar looks very 70s Tatooine. :-)  Maybe those went out of style after 30+ years?

In favor of shapeless burlap robes.

Yes.

To be fair, the extras we've seen might be working out in the sun all day. Sadly, I don't think Beru left the house much.

I like how everyone focused on Beru and ignored all the extras pictured.

I think she did considering she's supposed to be in her 40s yet looks much older in the original film... assuming she was in her 20s in AOTC and ROTS.  Guess those twin suns do twice the damage. :-)

Living with a grouch like Owen, and years of weaving a web of lies every time Luke asks about you know who will do that to you. ;)

I wouldn't mind seeing Luke on Tatooine, visiting his aunt and uncle's graves. It always bugged me in Star Wars that he got over their deaths so quickly and never mentions them again. They raised him, and he was far more impacted by Obi Wan's death.

Preferred Saga:
1/2: Hal9000
3: L8wrtr
4/5: Adywan
6-9: Hal9000

Did he bury them? Would have been horrifying if he dug in the wrong place, as there's a couple unmarked graves around the farm already. Under the circumstances, it was better to get off world quickly and be presumed dead.

I'm sure friends or neighbors would have buried the bodies though.

I don't think he "got over" their deaths quickly any more than Leia got over Alderaan right away. There wasn't time to mourn with the Empire looking for the droids. He saw Obi Wan "die", so that provoked a reaction.

The bulgy leg joints on those astrodtroids do remind me of :

....thats another thing,....how come we didn't see any different versions of Astromech other than R2 units with different heads in the prequels.

Now with the Rebels cartoon we've got designs based on RMcQ's concepts to show earlier evolutions which didn't show themselves in the prequels either.

Even the Millennium Falcon (Known as the Stellar Envoy(??????)) in ROTS looked exactly the same as Han's modification,.....all the same greeblies,....just different paint scheme, they missed the chance to have it with all panels on,...not showing all the open/lost access bays covers...

....rant over

Flip!.....never seen some of those images before

The R1,....similar to the droid the Jawas tried to sell

....but still no previous designs of R2 units (apart from the droid in the bath, which just looks like a dome painted in the style of a R2,...cheaply done)....

Nearly all the images in that link are all the traditional OT R2 units painted in different colours,....no design to indicate an evolution of previous models, like what is being done in the new film & in Rebels

Mark Hamill talks about Episode VII: http://www.theforce.net/story/front/Mark_Hamill_Discusses_Episode_VII_Star_Wars_Fans_And_More_Ahead_Of_SWW_Debut_158314.asp

The Orlando Sentinel has posted unused quotes from their earlier interview with Mark Hamill, who makes his Star Wars Weekends debut this Friday at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Hamill spoke about his visits to the Pinewood Studios production offices in London prior to the start of principal photography. "I toured the departments, I've looked at wardrobe, and I saw the creature shop," he said. "I went around and met all the cast people, saw the technicians working on some new things."

Regarding spoilers for the film, Hamill said, "This is a whole different world ... The first one, no one cared. The second one there was a lot of interest, but it was before the Internet. ... I tell people we're not trying to annoy you or tease you or play some massive game. Basically what the goal is to keep the surprises for the movie instead of spoiling them on the Internet."

Hamill also discussed the exciting experience of reuniting with his fellow original trilogy actors, some of them for the first time in years. "I hadn't seen Tony Daniels or Carrie [Fisher] or Harrison [Ford] or Peter Mayhew in ages," he said. "I[t] was wonderful to see them again, because I didn't expect to. Again, this is all so unexpected. It's like getting out that pair of pants you haven’t worn in five years and finding a 20-dollar bill in the pocket. Oh, this is nice."

Mark Hamill will appear at Star Wars Weekends this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, where he'll answer questions from James Arnold Taylor in front of packed audiences during daily interview shows. Click here to read the rest of his comments to the Orlando Sentinel.

If those are current pics of Hamill, he's looking great.  Perfect for a return to the galaxy far far away.

Yep, that lightsaber pic is from this week. He does look great.

I hope he keeps the scruff and that they don't do away with it.  It would probably look really dignified on him in costume.

Wonder if someone will Photoshop some robes onto Mark?

Question: Am I posting these pictures in the right thread?  I thought this thread was for possible spoiler pictures, but I don't think this one qualifies as a spoiler picture since Mark isn't in costume... at least I hope he isn't!

It's fine, as there has been much discussion as to whether Mark, Harrison, and Carrie would be in shape for the movie. Just seeing Mark holding a lightsaber again is exciting!

I have serious doubts about that mouse eared fellow though. ;)
