Will do. I intended this thread to be for spoilers, so it would make sense to change the other thread to a spoiler-free thread for people who don't want anything spoiled.

As far as the 2 threads thing, I was more than fine to stick with the original 'J.J.' thread for *any* info. and pics that came along, as it was obvious that any news on that was bound to be 'spoiler'-ish anyway.
But if that one is to truly be a 'spoiler-free' zone, then some recent posts could do with being edited on it for anyone that hasn't seen it yet. Just a thought.
So far nothing has come down the pike that actually spoils the plot of the movie. That could change in a instant, so this thread will become useful so people don't start threads with plot spoilers in the title.

I think the pig looks kind of silly, but most of the cantina aliens looked silly and fake. So did most of the creatures in Jabba's palace. So did Jabba. However, with the right lighting, most of them looked pretty good. Not all of them did (that elephant guy, anyone?) but I have confidence that they'll do better than that in a 2015 movie.

I'd usually agree with you on this, Frink. But I'm afraid I have to side with Impscum. That thing looks silly and stupid. It wouldn't even be able to hold it's own head up.
I also agree with those saying the leaked pics strongly favor the Phantom Menace.

Both of those (especially the dewback) look like they could be real world creatures to me. There's nothing comical about them unlike the goofy pig monster.
Sure the thing will look better under the right lighting, but it's design is pourposefully silly and not realistic at all.
Just my opinion, of course.
Jesus christ you guys are picky. The OT was full of silly looking muppety creatures, that's part of the charm imo.

The pig may simply be in the background as well. Although, if it's true ti takes 5 men to man it, then that's a lot of work for something minor used in the background.

Honestly, the above porcine looks more fake than the one everyone is whining about. I never liked them, and think they shouldn't have made them into the movie. I think the new pig creature looks more realistic, so they could probably make it look just fine in the movie.
Bit odd but I'm more excited to see Hamill with a beard than the new Falcon prop?!?
