Girls,  reel it in.

Clever.

You're new here, so it might be worthwhile to mention that Anchorhead is a mod.

Well, if a mod feels I've gone too far off topic or an argument needs to come to an end they can let me know respectfully. Insult me and you wont get any respect from me. If the mods don't like it they can ban me. Pretty simple.

Did he just say it's an insult to be called a girl?

Indeed.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Seeing as how I'm not female, I found it a little condescending. You wouldn't call a couple of women boys. At least I don't.

True, but Anchorhead had no way of knowing your gender when he wrote his post.

I've found a great deal of your behavior to be condescending. However, since you've only been here a short while, I've given you time and room to find your way.   Perhaps if you were a little less abrasive, we could avoid any future misunderstandings.

That's why it's a good idea to not even mention gender when talking to someone on a forum.

And how have I been condescending? I've never insulted anyone in any way. All I do is give my opinion. Is that not what a forum is for?

To get back on track...

What do you all think of them filming in multiple formats (unless its all IMAX)

I'm not sure if I like the idea of the eventual Blu Ray releases going full screen for the IMAX and then 2:35:1 for the rest of the film like with the Nolan Batmans.  A Star Wars film not in 2:35:1 just aint right to me.

Maybe this belongs in the JJ thread but the multiple formats could be a spoiler?

True, but Anchorhead had no way of knowing your gender when he wrote his post.

In that case, that's what the word "children" is for.

Hard to say, as we never saw it totally without skin. Definitely not Threepio's Phantom Menace hand though.

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy last week, and the aspect ratio changes are subtle to unnoticeable if you're absorbed in watching the action. It also lent itself to some 3D effects where the action "busts out" of the 2:35:1 frame.

How do you know it's not C-3PO's hand?

Those servo thingies in the wrist look like the ones in Luke's hand. Would be weird if for whatever reason the flesh got stripped from his prosthetic hand.

Could have just worn off, and he's been living out where replacement skin isn't handy. Or else he simply got used to wearing the black glove.

That makes sense if Luke is really living as a recluse on a desolate planet.  He may have not had the means to get replacement skin or simply didn't care.  It could have been damaged in a battle of some sort, too.

If Vader is appearing, it has to be a Force vision ala Dagobah in Empire.

It would be nice if Dave Prowse got a small role, even a cameo. I suspect all the bad blood between him and Lucasfilm over the years was mostly coming from George.

Time to bury the gaffi stick.

I just tried to find what would Lucas or a Disney executive do to make the true Vader come back (not someone pretending to be Vader)... And the best I found is this: try to find a way for Anakin's Force Ghost to take control of a new Vader's armor but working for the light side of the Force this time... Perfect Disney family movie: Son and father (and add the son of Luke too, for good mesure!) fighting together for the good of the galaxy ( and in a way they could even say that it is exactly what Vader wanted in ESB...!)

.... Ok, I go.

LOL!  I think I'd die if that happened.

 My reaction:

Thankfully, the media is just blowing up a professional wrestler's goofing around on the web. I do wonder what part he'll have if any(set visit isn't out of the question).
