Yeah, Chewie looks fine on that cover.
Looks like he's in a Revlon ad, but it does look like Chewie.

Nice that they got Annie Leibovitz to photograph them. She did all the prequel VF shoots.
I think she may have photoshopped those ones, too: http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/star-wars/images/29334722/title/vanity-fair-star-wars-photo
I can hardly believe Jake Lloyd and Jar Jar Binks would have agreed to be in the same room for a photo shoot!

I don't understand why TFA Chewie's eyes slant up when in the OT they slanted down...
That's specist!
Looks like they are keeping Luke Skywalker's new look a secret since Mark Hamill is not on that cover or in either released trailer.
Yeah we know about the beard but we have not seen the costume or the lightsaber prop.
We have seen pictures of the actor but not in character as Luke.

Haven't seen Leia either. I think they're just staggering the reveals. First group is the new kids on the block in the first teaser. Han and Chewie in the second teaser. Then finally the twins in the first full trailer most likely.
I read something that Lucasfilm are so worried about spoilers, that the novelization and comic adaptation won't be released until 2016.
Understandable, but still lame.

Well the movie does come out in December, so if the books don't come out until January, that's not too long to wait.
The furniture thing proves that there likely will be other leaks in the coming months.

That was interesting to watch. Saw Adam Driver clearly dressed as Kylo Ren (unmasked, which is interesting in itself), so I guess JJ is accepting that we see that now - he must've figured it was no use trying to keep hiding that old rumor now that everyone has been assuming it is anyway.

Han's shirt is too clean.
He's married to Leia now. I'm sure he has the detergent she used on her white outfit in the first film.
We don't know if Solo is married. I hope he is not and that Leia is married to someone else. That would be a way to still make their relationship interresting without too much focus on them.

Edit: Oops--wrong thread.
Looked at the photos released so far and was highly disappointed at the reveal of Kylo Ren already, but still nice to know Driver is playing him. Great actor.
Debating on looking at anymore pictures/videos until the movie comes out. I don't want to be too spoiled..

Honestly, the character looks better without that stupid mask. I wish they had just shown his face straight from Day 1 and avoided the Faux Vader nonsense.
It'll be interesting to see if Kylo is seen without the mask at some point in the film. Maybe the rumor is true about Driver being the offspring of Han and Leia. Also, keep in mind there was a photo of Driver walking around wearing a Rebel... err... Resistance pilot outfit.

That photo was probably taken from 100 yards away with a cell phone. It was his general build, but might not have been him.
Interesting that you think he might not appear unmasked in the film. They might just be making sure he gets his share of publicity in this stage of the promotion process?

That could be... but it sure looks like him...
Gwendoline Christie confirmed as Captain Phasma.
That tidbit in particular makes me happier than anything else today.
Captain Phasma?
Why can't anyone come up with a good name anymore?
I just don't see what's so silly about "Phasma." I mean, this community is used to a lot worse--Sidious, Grievous, Tyranus, Nute Gunray. Phasma doesn't sound any weirder than "Skywalker" or more on-the-nose than "Solo."
Hmmm. The photo of Kylo Ren/Adam Driver in costume without a cyborg head seems to point more towards the speculation that the cyborg-headed guy holding Vader's mask in the production photo leaks is Luke.
I'm surprised we got official confirmation of Gwendoline Christie as the chrome stormtrooper already. Was thinking this was going to be something left for the movie to reveal.

Well Hamill said he grew out a "contractually obligated" beard, which could be a joke but he was sporting one for all of filming. It doesn't make sense that he'd go full cyborg and lose everything that makes him identifiable as a character.
Provided Abrams' version of the Sith go by the master and apprentice rule, perhaps cyborg dude is the master.

Right or wrong I'm going to stay with the Luke is the cyborg speculation and consider the beard an official misdirection. The next trailer could likely prove me completely off-base. :)
