It's interesting to see that only Hayden's head was used and they kept Shaw's body...makes the whole thing even weirder to me!

Also, I never really minded the '97 ending that much (again, the '97 ending LOL). But one thing that always bothered me was why they would show Mos Eisley rejoicing, because it was made very well known throughout both trilogies that they could care less about the Republic, the Empire, the Rebels, etc.; I highly doubt the news would've had much of an impact on them...

Why would the citizens of a "wretched hive of scum and villiany" be celebrating outside in 100 degree temps anyway?

Where were you in '77?

That's like asking why a Jar-Jar Binks clone is on top of a Naboo building that has no visible access point (no doors). It just is.

For me, the celebration that was least believable was on Coruscant. I figured that many of the people there had power and status under the empire which they would have been most displeased to lose. I guess the empire was that bad. Kayshk should be included since the wookies who were enslaved were probably the happiest to see the empire fall.

Take back the trilogy. Execute Order '77

I've never ever noticed this change here.

Yeah, before I'd read the description, that was the only thing that stood out in my mind, so I was surprised it didn't read, "The red Death Star computer image is now blue and purple for reasons none of us care to discuss."

There is no lingerie in space…

C3PX said: Gaffer is like that hot girl in high school that you think you have a chance with even though she is way out of your league because she is sweet and not a stuck up bitch who pretends you don’t exist… then one day you spot her making out with some skinny twerp, only on second glance you realize it is the goth girl who always sits in the back of class; at that moment it dawns on you why she is never seen hanging off the arm of any of the jocks… and you realize, damn, she really is unobtainable after all. Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

It also looks slightly 'squished', like more of an oval than a circle.

Lol, after watching the OUT yesterday, I saw the most stupid change in the OT. Before Luke is brought to the Emperor, we see a shot of the second DS surface, while 2 TIE Interceptors pass the screen. In the SE's, the TIE Interceptors are gone! I don't know why they wanted to remove them, but this really is one of the rediculous changes i've seen (exept the flashes on the Imp officers in ANH, I don't get why they removed it, since it didn't even hold up for one single scene!).

Did they miss one?

Didn't the skiff in the above shot originally just tip forward, but now tips side to side as well? Or was I imagining things?

I'm glad you posted this, as I just got the dvd today. I believed as others did, that the original was probably better than the new versions. After watching the original I came to appreciate the new versions more. I really can't say I hate any of the changes made in the SE. Jabbas new theme jumps out at me much more than the background music used in the original. Plus since I'm a fan of the NT I like the new Anikin and eyebrowless anikin. I guess they were right in saying the new ending theme music don't seem to fit as well, but I like that music more.

I liked the new ending for ROTJ. The only new scene I didn't like was the infamous Jedi Rocks scene. I felt it didn't fit in with the rest of the movie or the trilogy as a whole. It seemed they really wanted to show off the new CG of the time and dazzle the crowd with some crappy music video. Whenever I watch the SE version of ROTJ I fastforward or mute that scene. The rest of the trilogy was great really. What was that new victory soundtrack called again?
