Episode IV: A Ridiculous Hope — Page 16

The Rebel briefing scene could be altered so instead of General Dodonna showing the attack plans for the upcoming battle you had Bob Barker doing an episode of The Price Is Right (or something similar).

There must be an episode online where one of the prizes is a computer prompting the line, "That's impossible, even for a computer".

Has it been suggested to use Pooh Bear as Darth Vader?

The DS plans could be Atari Star Wars. ;)

 I LOVE this idea.

I believe they're saying that the screen that connects to R2 should have like the vector DS from one of the games.

The pre battle briefing could then have the trench run from the game.

You could also stick stick other SW inspired games into the targeting displays of the fighters and the Falcon.

I've played all of these in my time!

The tactical display in Rebel HQ could also be replaced with something, but I'm not sure what...

The intro to that Japanese home version has some graphics that might make a good sight gag, (low resolution FX renders that Lucas forgot to replace?) and a pretty good recreation of the movie graphics.

That's awesome.

Still gutted that Star Wars never got a Vectrex release.

I don't think any Atari games ever got licensed for it. (Pole Position was released, but that was originally a Namco game.) By the time Atari was making games for other systems, poor Vectrex was kind of dead.

People make homebrew Vectrex games to this day, so you'd think somebody would take a crack at it.

I miss my old console, even though it buzzed loudly, (they all did) and I was probably absorbing radiation from the screen. ;)

Sorry for the temporary derail, Frink.

That reminds me, every cut back to Artoo should add more rocks until he can't be seen at all! ;)

He should hide behind rocks in places without rocks (like the Death Star).

When they pass through the remains of Alderaan he could go outside and hide behind an asteroid for no reason whatsoever.

Looks like someone actually did a homebrew version after all! Cleverly disguised as a home version of Star Fire for legal reasons. ;)

For Luke's lightsaber training, can you follow up Luke's complaint about the blast shield with "I can't see a thing in this helmet."?  Redundancy runs in the family.

Suggested Vader dialog when meeting Obi Wan. Needed JEJ words in italics.

"When Obi Wan left me to die, I was smoking."
