Hey daveytod, I say thank you for this great piece! :-) I should have started by saying thanks, instead of complaining about problems....

Anyway, about the sound of the trailers: I tried 2 different stand-alone players with their internal D/A converter, as well as with an external one - no sound. I tried to play on 2 different computers with WinDVD and MPC - no sound. The only software that plays them with sound is VLC Player... Strange.

About the alternate ending: I found it! Interesting indeed! :-)

OK, I have figured out what was wrong with this DVD. The problem probably is that it contains 2 different video-systems: the main movie is PAL, but the extras are NTSC. I think this is not compliant with the DVD-Video specifications and that's why several DVD-players cannot play the disc correctly.

I was able to fix my copy, but now I really want to be sure that it is perfect. So my final question: the 'Concept art gallery' and the 'Game credits' are really silent? I think yes, but confirmation would be great!

Yep, they're silent. How did you 'fix' your copy by the way?

For the 'Video Game trailer' and the 3 TV spots, I had the original quickTime .mov files from the net (same source that you used for the DVD), so I simply made an .mpeg (PAL) from the .mov and replaced the videos on your DVD with VobBlanker. Menus and everything else remains untouched.

For the easter egg: of course I didn't have your original source, so I had to use what was available on your DVD and I just transcoded from NTSC to PAL with Vegas 6. As far as I can tell, video-quality was not affected.

Is there any way we can get a new PAL only version of this seeded? I'd like to be able to hear the extras.

You mean you would like to have my version seeded? I can do that, but only if Daveytod agrees, too. After all, it's his child, not mine.

That's a definite yes. I'd like to see the complete PAL version seeded (granted I wish it was entirely NTSC, but ah well).

Go for it. You may have to re-upload it somewhere. As long as I'm fully credited then go for it...you can even send me a copy of you want

In order to avoid redownloading everything again, I propose that I upload to the web only those files that were affected by my patching. This shouldn't be very big (under 100 MB I suppose) and then everyone could easily patch his own DVD.

But first I need to know exactly which files I changed! :-) So can I ask you, Daveytod to send me in a PM the exact size of each file in your original VIDEO_TS folder? With these file sizes, I'll be able to see which files I patched.

Can someone seed this and PM me as to where? I've lost my copy. I was planning on using the fix, but never got around to it.

Thanks for the discs, daveytod! I'm looking forward to watching this!

Could someone upload the patch to Rapidshare again? (That's what I get for not staying current with the threads I should be reading).

I'll re-upload it to my RS account, where it'll be good until at least late July (probably permanently).

I wanna put the patched version on the newsgroups.

One day I found... 10 years had got behind me. Next day was worse.

Download  shows from Cable DVR (Updated! Yes, it needs a rewrite, but it's worth slogging through, anyway).

I looked for daveytod's movie made from the game, but all the torrents are dead. Besides, I only need about a five second clip. I was going to use the deleted Dooku line ("don't assume that just because there are two of you..." etc.) in a fan-edit of mine, but I only have the GameCube version, which doesn't register when I put it in my PC's disc drive. As such, I can't just get it myself. Would it be too much to ask for one of you to put up the clip I'm talking about on MegaUpload or something similar? I hate to ask you to do this, but I don't know of any other way to get what I need. Thanks in advance for whatever help I may receive!

P. S.: Dooku's line is the only deleted shot from the game, right? I don't remember any others, and a brief skim through the game didn't turn up anything that stuck out.
