Man, I wish James Earl Jones had at any point said “If you build it, they will come”, that’d be hilarious to put in as he and the Emperor are overseeing Death Star construction at the end of the film… Maybe it’d still be funny if that is whispered while they are quietly watching the construction…

If you ever make it as far as making ROTJ more ridiculous, there’s something from Field of Dreams that’d be funny for when Vader kills Palpatine, a bit where he says “Oh my God… You’re from the 60’s! Out! Probably not, to be honest that idea didn’t do much for me as was I never interested in Field of Dreams. But feel free to post other ideas there if you come up with any.

All right, I was making sure you even cared for the idea before reposting it. When I watched that clip it struck me as funny if he just started yelling crazy, psychotic crap at Palpatine before suddenly throwing him over the railing (not a massive fan of Field of Dreams, either, just mining for good out-of-context JEJ lines). That and looking at the Death Star and alluding that if they build it the Rebels will come and blow it up, I dunno, that tickles me, too…

Oh well, I’ll find something that’s comedy gold for you one of these days!

I love the added Vader voice stress audio, hilarious. I’m not sure the “alter the deal” line is working, I’m having trouble discerning the word “alter” (actually, it almost sounds like he’s saying “more than a deal”, to my ear). Perhaps we should replace it with another line like “Take this mask off” (ROTJ) or “Destroy a planet” (SW) (the first being funny as him not adjusting well to his new outfit and wanting out right off the bat, the second funny because it is a legitimate long-term goal for him). There are a few others that could work, too, but those I think are short enough to not mess up the timing too badly. Or… if you could extend the scene convincingly, you could add in a bunch of other funny lines, too.

Yeah, I’ll take another look. “Alter the deal” is tough because we all know he says “altering the deal” and that was the best I could do without including the “ing.” Bit of a bummer because it’s such a great directive.

Anyone else having trouble with that line?
