Inspired choice of music for the fireplace scene. :)

Just out of curiosity, are you skipping over Anakin's nightmare?

You could shift it to the beginning of the film and just have him moaning about sand.

You could have lots of shots of sand, from films like Lawrence of Arabia, Dune, Star Wars etc and then shots of people making sandcastles on sandy beaches, carpenters using sand paper, while the song Sandy from Grease played in the background intercut with Anakin rolling around in the way that he does mumbling "sand....It gets everywhere...rough....the sand is the sand... sand I HATE YOU!".

This could all speed up until he wakes up with a start.

Yeah, that's a fantastic idea.  I'm not going to use all of it (no Grease song) but I'll see what I can put together.

Anyone know how to make good echo-y dreamy sound for the dialogue in audacity?  The echo filter on its own doesn't seem to do the trick.

I was thinking he could be dreaming about Padme, (with flashes of Natalie bathing in "Your Highness") but I like your idea better. ;)

I like it, but I think shots from Dune would work better than from Last Crusade.

Isn't there a shot or two in Jaws of some little kid making a sandcastle?

Google "sand darth Vader Pictures" and flash a few of them in between the video clips. Also maybe a quick picture of Adam Sandler, or anyone else with sand in their name. Or perhaps a sandwich. I just think this needs to be alittle more silly than it is right now. Right now it's alittle more creepy than funny. But the idea is Perfect.

Also would be cool if you had the song mr. Sandman by The Chordettes. I would start the song right after he wakes up, when it switches to the ship flying in space until after the ship lands on Tat.

Agreed on the Last Crusade shots. Dune or Jaws might work better, but I don't own either and have no interest in buying them.

I like this idea quite a bit. I don't think I have any Sandler movies but I do have a SNL DVD I could use...and maybe the Shark Sandwich album cover from Spinal Tap would work well.

Do you have Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome? Some deadly sand dune scenes in that. Or the first Mummy movie?

No and no.

But I'm not sure I need any more if I use Bob's idea. Just start with the Star Wars ones and finish with the silly ones.

Still think I might include the Big Lebowski one...I don't care if it's not really sand. :p

You also could flip a couple of the SW shots and use them twice.

If you're going to use Adam Sandler, then I insist you use Sandy Duncan as well. ;)

What I really want to use is right before this (you can only see the very last bit of Frank with the sand in this clip, but it was the best I could find)

Ah yes, Hercules Vs. The Moon Men. The sandstorm scene from hell!

Too bad the sandstorm scene cut from Jedi is only on the Blu Rays.
