At least it doesn't stink worse than NextGen did...

DS9 is and will always be the best Star Trek series.
Which is the more foolish, the fool (the OT) or the fool who follows (the PT)?

DS9 has way to much over acting from that Ben Sisko guy... Plus it sucks that they don't boldy go anywhere.

TNG is the only StarTrek that ever interested me. TOS had some good movies, but the series is fun mostly for camp value.

Agreed.

I don't see how TNG could be more interesting. They had very little character development, didn't really go out and DO anything...the better episodes such as Best of Both Worlds and Time's Arrow were different and good because they took chances and did things. Granted, Q was on NextGen, and I love Q, and I do enjoy NextGen, but compared to a show that had a seven year storyarch and had a freaking war going on (and no, Avery Brooks does NOT overact!!!), NextGen pales in comparison. Besides, it didn't have Robert Wolfe.

And as for that Gene Roddenbery guy...well, GL might have created StarWars, but does he do it best? At some point both Star Trek and Star Wars need to continue without their creators...the Star Trek people have already made the mistake to try to keep all of GR's humanistic philosophies going, but since most of those died with Freud and Stalin, it's time for them to move on to greater and better things...like story instead of message.

The characters on TNG are more interesting, though, even if they don't develop as much.

Yeah, I can't say that any of the characters on DS9 are memorable at all (except for the TNG ones that make guest appearances), but they're both okay series'.

It's pronounced JohnLuke, and in the future, things are spelled by pronunciation.

I think your just making excuses for your misspelling

If you went by French logic, then Klingon would be spelled something like clengean, and the Borg would be the Beaurg.

*tsk tsk*

French logic? French people spell their name the French way, even in Star Trek.

You would think that Europe wouldn't even be divided into languages.

But I was just making fun of French spellings anyway. Carry on Jean...

So. Now that we're off topic:

What is your favorite episode of any Startrek show.

Mine is Best of Both Worlds or Time's Arrow.
Hard to choose.

I'd pick Best of Both Worlds as my favorite as well.

Which means you also like ST IV: The Voyage Home?

Never seen it.

Besides, I don't like all time travel, just when it's well-excecuted, like Time's Arrow, Yesterday's Enterprise, and Back to the Future.
