I think that Power Rangers thing is just dumb, for two reasons. One, the word "Morphin" is spelled out in the frickin' title of the show! It's obviously not morphine. "But what if the kid is too young to read?" you might ask. Find me a kid who hasn't gained the skills to read yet knows what morphine is, and I will buy him a car!

EDIT: Third reason. What's so bad about morphine anyway? It's a legitimate drug. I don't see how knowing of its existence is supposed to be damaging to kids.

Censoring is stupid.

I don't think it's the "knowing of its existence" that they're worried about, but its association with having super powers.

Heh, I had a feeling you were going to say that. Now, if it was LSD giving people "super powers", maybe that would be cause for concern. ^_^ But, anyway, like I said, the majority of the show's audience wouldn't know what morphine was. The ones who were old enough would know better. People just worry too much.

Ah, I used to love Mighty Marijuana Power Rangers.

Go, go, Mighty Marijuana Power Reefers!

You know, they should censor all heroines from TV shows, because kids might mistake them for the drug heroin. Xena, Buffy, the Powerpuff Girls and all other ass-kickin' womyn would have to go.

What about Super Mario Brothers? Growing taller when you consume 'shrooms? That's gotta go, too.

Not to defend a really stupid form of censorship, but "Morphin" and "Morphine" are only one letter different. It's not like it was "Morfin" and "Morphine". Yeah, it's stupid, but just seeing it spelled out isn't quite as obvious as all that.

Courts are getting out of hand. The Judicial system is only supposed to enforce the laws that Congress makes. But no, you have judges like this who think they have the power to do what ever in the hell they want. America's justice system is getting flushed down the toilet. And anyways, George Lucas owns the rights to all Star Wars merchandise so if he doesn't mind people editing his movies it ain't gonna matter what a Judge does.

That's almost as stupid as what they did in the 50's. TV shows and movies had to depict married couples as sleeping in 2 single beds instead of 1 double bed.
