Earthquake!

I can't believe it, but I just felt an earthquake about ten minutes ago.  Turns out it was earthquake in Mineral, Virginia.  The Capital and the Pentagon were evacuated.  I felt it, and it was felt as far up as NY!

Man, that was weird.   All of the sudden I felt dizzy and things in my computer room started to wobble.  It was the weirdest thing I think I've ever felt.   It was also a little bit scary.  I did not like that at all.   I still feel a little weird and off balance.  I am little worried about aftershocks.     ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN IN SOUTH JERSEY!!!   THIS AINT CALIFORNIA!!!

Wow. I've never heard of an earthquake happening there. As one living in California, I'm used to them by now. They just come and go every so often. Nothing really to worry about unless it's ultra strong.

How do you know ChainsawAsh didn't feel it? :p

Jeez, Warb, you're a wuss. :P

I wonder how my cousins took their first earthquakes...

I suppose I should take back my wuss comment. In CA, many buildings are built to stand such shocks - special foundations, not built out of bricks, etc. On the east coast there are plenty of brick buildings. So it's a bit bigger of a deal.

This thread is now about WHERE YOU WERE WHEN YOU DID OR DID NOT FEEL THE EARTHQUAKE.

For the record, I was at home, and I did not feel it.

There you go Warb! You tell that nature what it is and isn't suppose to do! That'll learn it!

*sigh* we don't get quakes on the east coast.   We're not used to them and therefore they are unsettling to us.  Also our buildings are made to handle earthquakes like those on the west coast are.   So excuse me for being little scared that something might happen to my house and I and/or my parents might get hurt, or friends and other family members might get hurt.   If that makes me a wuss, so be it.

Well, then it is good bkev already took that comment back and conceded your point before you made it.

Well, I didn't feel it and the places I was in when I didn't feel it are too many to count.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  So funny.

Even this 'serious' photo essay is just a bunch of dummies looking at their phones. So far the only "damage" I've seen is a part of some drop-ceiling fall down in VA, so excuse me while I cease to care.

Oh yeah, and here in Northwest Ohio, some people claim to have felt it, but I was driving when it happened so I don't suppose I did.

On the east coast, we are not used to earthquakes, so when one happens, its a big deal.  Kind of like if Florida got snow.
