Fun topic, you guys should get a kick out of mine. My 1st memory of a movie was seeing Empire when I was 3 years old (my dad took me). I really don't think I understood it too much, but I fell in love with it. Anyway, we went downtown to the theater where the movie was being shown and the movie theater has about 300 lightbulbs in the front enterence (there's only 2 theaters so it's a small theater). I remember thinking cause of the lightbulbs that Star Wars must have owned that movie theater cause they had the lightbulbs that reminded me of Star Wars. The 2nd movie I remember seeing was the ep IV when they were showing it on Penn State's campus at the university. The next year my parents took me to see "Muppets Take Manhatten" at the Star Wars theater and thinking "oh Star Wars must be renting out the theater to this movie". I just think that's sorta funny that I thought Star Wars owned that movie theater cause of the lightbulbs and thinking that at the age of 3.

My parents didn't take me to a movie theater until I was 6 (who framed roger rabbit). And I don't remember much about my childhood, I remember something when I was 2, and then something when I was 3, and then I remember some stuff from 1988 on. It's funny this whole memory thing, because if I got back to, let's say, 1998, I wouldn't know what to do, I wouldn't remember some people around me, I wouldn't be able to do what I was supposed to do, because I don't remember it anymore... It's like I'm a whole different person...
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

my earliest TV memory would be getting up reeaallly early while my dad got ready for work and watching 'Davey and Goliath[?]' and 'Hot Fudge[76]'. Those 2 shows and Captain Kangaroo are earliest recollection from TV.

As for movies, born in 73', it would have to be 'King Kong [76]', 'Star Wars[77]' and 'Zombie[79]' as the most profound movies in my early childhood. I know I saw alot of others between those, but those always come to mind first.
Even if it was perfect, someone would be upset.
