I've always had this theory....it is kind of lame, but it also kind of makes a little (very little ) sense. Maybe SW is just one big story of two droids lives. Kind of like a droid odd couple...but juiced up w/ a galactic storyline & a happy-ever-after story line
I know it isn't the case, but isn't it funny that they are the only ones in every movie? Besides Anakin...but he doesn't count cause he changes his persona.

Any comments or ideas?
I just hate stupid people.

Hasn't George Lucas been saying this all along? that the droids would be the only characters that appear in every movie? unless of course they find a way of Palpatine appearing in a new hope , oh and then there's Obi-wan (at least he was there in spirit!)

I think the Droid's R2 and 3PO are the ones that bring all the films togather. from there point of view its one BIG Story. with smaller storys around each.

Plus Droid's do not Age.

Sometimes I think it would be Cool 2 be a Droid. Only worrie would be getting your next can of Oil and Spair Parts 10.0000 mile(or year) tune-up and fresh Batteries.

ya being a droid would kickass...

if you could pick one droid that you could be in the star wars universe... who would you be?

i would have to be that guy who gets his feet burned in ROTJ...
he's the one who starts to walk around in the sandcrawler when R2 and 3PO are captured too...

sorda looks like a box with feet...

I really wouldn't like to be a droid at all. Being a mechanical thing, with a pre-programed mind, I would not have a mind of my own, it would be a simulation, I would not be a conscious being. C3PO is not a person, he looks like one and sounds like one, but it's fake, he would not be able to really think. OK, maybe I've started a bit of a "AI - artificial inteligence" discussion here.

Actually it was Billy Ripken, Cal's kid brother. I have that card and one or two of the "corrected" variants.

Classic Baseball card and that's awesome with 3po, yeah, Luca$ has said all along that the droids would bridge the gap between the OT, PT and at the time the ST (which apparently now is defunct).
