Been working on a new project. It’s a blu-ray of the out of print VHS/Laserdisc “Dr Demento 20th Anniversary Collection”.
I was alway really into Weird Al since I was little, and as such, found myself obsessing over novelty music in general, which I heard through Dr Demento compilation albums. I recently bought this laserdisc for my personal collection, but since it seems that there’s no hope of even getting a DVD release, I though it might be fun to make a custom blu-ray.
The blu-ray will contain the full laserdisc restored in standard def with original mono track, as well as all the videos included restored in high def, minus the host segments. A lot of these videos are pretty rare, and my favorite of the bunch, “Fish Heads” by Barnes & Barnes has never been released on DVD.
Below you’ll find my custom artwork made from scans of the laserdisc, some screenshots from the “Fish Heads” restoration, and the track listing for the collection. This whole project is pretty simple, and it’s coming soon.
Tracklisting:
- “Fish Heads” by Barnes & Barnes
- “Cocktails For Two” by Spike Jones
